Energy Weapons and DLC

The only thing I think is an issue is they need to make an Energy weapon equivilant to Grunt and Cowboy.


This. So Much! The moment I saw the Grunt perk I knew it would piss off a few EW fans like Madcat.

You're right, but Obsidian thought different and went through the effort of modeling and texturing an energy weapon. The least the could have done is make it a good energy weapon.


Whether it's "good" or not is subjective. I happen to think it's a great energy weapon.

I'd have to agree, but what should it affect? Obviously laser pistols. Those are the main issue with energy weapons is the early stuff, I think. To that end, it should also probably be available earlier than Grunt/Cowboy. After all, the 9mm weapons are already good low level weapons without Grunt, but the Laser Pistol is fairly terrible in the early levels no matter what you do.

Energy weapons were the wave of the future in the past, so obviously they still are in the present. Obviously! You gain +25% to damage with laser and plasma pistols and rifles.


The icon could be Vault Boy in Tesla Metal Armor (FO1&2) with a plasma pistol giving the player his knowing wink.

Which brings up another point, Obsidian. OWB needs to add the Tesla Metal Armor to the game.
