Most wanted features of Skyrim

Post » Fri Oct 01, 2010 3:58 pm

For me it would have to be,

1. Werewolves
2. Less dumbing down of the PC version for consoles
3. Crossbows being added, Spears would be nice too.
4. Awesome weather system, complete with fog, many different levels of rain, thunderstorms, snowstorms etc.
5. Werewolves
6. Vampires
7. Actual expansion packs, not 2-3 hour DLC like what Fallout has.
8. Big improvements on how stealth works, the way stealth worked in past elder scrolls games was just silly. Even how it worked in Fallout was pretty pathetic to be honest, I would snipe somebody from the darkness and their friend would turn around, pull out their gun and say something like "Must of been the wind" then walk straight over their dead ally, put their gun away and go to sleep.. seriously? Big improvements should be made there.
9. Did I mention werewolves? Werewolves are a must.
10. Better AI. AI has always been a weakpoint in Bethesda's games in all aspects and I'm really hoping for big improvements here.

What would you guys like to see in Skyrim?

A more interesting setting. Not Morrowind, something new entirely. (So far, I'm optimistic that they are going to deliver)

Expertly designed dungeons, with a high re-playability factor. (For subsequent playthroughs)

Distinct looking races.

More armor choices, and clothing under armor.

A hug! :)

No hugging in my thread.

But seriously, werewolves.

I doubt they are going to put them in just because they can't be bothered and realize people will buy the game anyway but like seriously.. it would make the game so much better.. Werewolf simulation for the win!

Werewolves. If they aren't in the game, I won't bother purchasing it.

I'd like an endgame feature that is unlockable at level 100.
It's called the Norris Roundhouse Kick.
Somewhat similar to what George Washington uses when he's kicking apart British soldiers, though it varies slightly in delivery.

I hope they bring back Minotaurs. Those would look bada$$ considering the graphics of the game. Im also hoping Glass Armor will come back.

And whys that? You don't believe games are dumbed down for the PC when they are also made for consoles?

If so you are misinformed because they are. This is a very well known fact.. go and look at some of the PC only RPGs (The Witcher for example) and how much better they are in every single aspect, it's because they are developed solely for the PC and not for 5 year old hardware(360 and PS3).

Not saying Skyrim won't be awesome BUT it could be twice the game it will be if only developed for PC.

Tongue totems:
The breath and the voice are the vital essence of a Nord. When they defeat great enemies they take their tongues as trophies. These are woven into ropes and can hold speech like an enchantment.

My most wanted feature now that I know a bit about the game features:

You would have to learn skill perks from the masters of the skills related to the perks, so when you are skillful enough in "Two handed weapons" you find a teacher for that skill, and pay the teacher, and maybe perform a task or quest for him, and then he would teach you how to perform "Head Chop" finishing move.

By the way, now that we have finishing moves, I like them to be perks for their related skills, and I have to learn them from the teacher, and those would not be automatically available for any character. This would give me more satisfaction, and more sense of accomplishment when I finally learn to use them.

The more advanced perks should be a lot more costly, so that in later stages of the game, when our income grows a lot, we would have milestones for where to spend those Septims. So we have to save our income, until we are able to pay for the next flashy trick about a skill. A far more satisfying way to spend our income than most of alternative places. At least you are gaining new tricks.

The perks that you choose at level-up session, can be upgrades for the perks that you have already learned, or some more general perks that make you more special, like Fallout perks, or some tiny bits of character buffs that you could gradually accumulate as you level-up, like different types of damage resistances, or additional inventory capacity, and the like...

I want a fjord. I'm hoping that big craggy mountain thing with the water in the middle in the Reach hold is one.
