Where's Africa?

Likely, as the Fallout world is divergent from our own, Africa was still colonized by Europe.

Maybe Africa wan't hit by war, leaving them the prosperous continent, and maybe Africa will take pity on the other continents and send relief... that would slightly ironic

Even if Africa wasn't hit by war (although the opening for the original fallouts states that most of the planet was reduced to cinders), it would have been destroyed eventually. Radioactive fallout would probably drift over the oceans/Sinai penninsula and hit Africa that way. You'd have more mutations, less complete destruction.

I am sorry but that is not much of a answer, Tenpenny could have gone to North America or the Moon because if Europe was in a even worst shape then crossing the Atlantic or land on the Moon possessed the same level of difficulty.

I can also point out that Dukov sticks out like a sore thumb, if he is Russian then how he managed to end up in Washington D.C. ? and if that is a accent then how the managed to retain such a tick Russian accent when North America was cut out from Russia in the past 200 years?

The Capitol Wasteland is far worst than the New California Republic and even the NCR lacks a blue water Navy (yes, I know ... PMV Valdez but still it runs on oil) and I assume Tenpenny never been to the NCR so ... if Europe is worst that North America and North America lacks the ability to cross the Atlantic then (logically) Europe lacks it as well.

Also if North America does have the ability to cross the Atlantic but Europe is far worst why would they keep contact? its not like Europe can help then or North America can help Europe.

Maybe they intended to make Tenpenny to show that "Europe was worst" but forgot it was nearly impossible in the case of Europe being in worst shape (considering the Capitol Wasteland) for said character to get there, they might as well make Master Chief show up.

He probably sailed across.

This topic came up in conversation amongst my friends and I. We concluded that Africa was not affected by radiation, or bombs in general, and prospered over the course of 200 years. Extremely rural and/or tropical locations in modern day third world countries now boast cities with commerce similar to that of Boston.

Go Africa. ^_^

On a more serious note, this will probably be explored in future games/expansions. I can see Fallout taking the same route as the Resident Evil Series, which, coincidentally, is setting it's latest installment in aforementioned Africa.

Again, go Africa.

Right. After the http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2009/2/18/ controversy from RE5, I am eager to see the next episode, with ghouls and mutants instead of zombies...

Yeah, I'm not really counting on that to happen, actually.

After 200 years, and being spared the worst effects of the war, Africa is the most advanced continent on earth. For example, the country of Zamunda has antigravity tanks and flying robots that make liberty prime look like a protectron.
