Where is the Wolfenstein forum ?

Post » Mon Oct 04, 2010 4:50 pm

Since id is a part of Bethesda and Bethesda added sections in the forum for various id games,I would expect to find a section dedicated to Wolfenstein discussion.
Wolfenstein is one of my best id software series ever, and I'm really confused that there is no Wolfenstein section in these forums.
What happened ?

I don't know, I've wondered the same thing sometimes. Wolfenstein 3D is one of my favorites

Sections have been opened for id series as new games have been released with Bethesda Softworks as the publisher. When Doom 2 was released in XBLA the Doom section was opened - along with a general series discussion forum. The Quake section was opened when Quake Arena Arcade was released, again along with a general series discussion forum. I imagine if there is a new Wolfenstein release a section will be opened for it.

Hm,that means that somebody has to decide the release of RTCW as an arcade game.
(since id has the bad habit to create a new wolf every 5~10 years, and Wolf3d's publishing rights are owned by 3dRealms)

and don't forget eating plates of chicken. Any game where you can gain health through chicken has full support from me. Other then shooting Nazis of course.

Or there needs to be a brand new Wolfenstein game. One from id seems unlikely right now with RAGE being finished up and Doom 4 being worked on, but id has licensed this out to other studios before so we could see that again, perhaps a Wolfenstein game for moble devices by Vir2L.

Yup a new Wolfenstein would be nice, but you know what ?
Castle Wolfenstein came out at 1982.
Wolfenstein 3d came at 1992.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein came at 2002.
And the last one came at 2009.

Judging from the game's past I'm afraid we won't see a new Wolfenstein at least until 2016. :(
I hope I'm wrong though.
