I hope not I want it to be Nords vs Nords but I wouldn't mind having a couple of sidequests that you could do in the Dunmer village.

I think it is a pro-empire vs a anti-empire type of war. Since all the races live there I don't think we can a "race war". Since it is the homeland of the Nords however, I think they will be the majority of each side...
... If that made any sense

The Argonians that occupied Vvardenfell after the Red Year event occurred may have something to say about that.

In the trailer it says that the people of Skyrim are spilling their brothers blood. So it either imperial brothers or nord brothers. But no doubt the Dunmers will be important in the game. It will be interesting to see how the other races like argonian. Kajhiit, and all elven races are integrated into the overall war and story line and the total province.

Sons of Skyrim (Nords) spill their own blood. Nords spilling the blood of Nords.

I believe the context of the civil war has already been determined as well. It will be between pro-empire Nords and pro-independence Nords. Dunmer really don't have a place in all that.

Back during Oblivion, though, some Nords invaded the northwest corner of Morrowind. 200 years and a volcanic cataclysm later, though, and that small conflict is all but forgotten, especially because it pales in comparison to the much more important Oblivion crisis that happened around that same time.

Or the nords could be going emo 0_0 Food for thought

A civil war is a war between two groups from the same country or province, race doesn't really matter, as long as they're all Skyrimmites. Skyrimians. Skyrimmers. What the hell do we call a citizen of Skyrim?
