"Does my username say '14 year old to you?'"

Gunmaster95?

Sounds like a loaded question to me.

Username wouldn't be a factor for me in choosing mods. However if I met you online in a COD match and you were called Zz-SiiK_GuNMaZteR95 I probably wouldn't accept a friend request.

When I was 12 my internet monikers were all misspelled variations of the names of Lord of the Rings characters.

Even if your name was Lolgolas, your kappa avatar would make up for it.

@OP: Yes, yes it does. But most names either scream "little kid", "dumb teenager", or "super nerd" to me. I'd never skip on an interesting mod because of the modders name though.

I did not get that impression personally. And my choice of a mod would not be based on the person's name.

This. Besides look at mine  I was 12 I think so...not that good :P

There are people who actually use their name  though I don't feel that way at all

Would this affect your choice to download one of my mods?

This question doesn't have an 'in between' answer although the first question does. Otherwise I would have picked that.

Why would you judge a mod by it's authour's username?!

I added an 'in the middle' option for you. :D

I didn't think that at all, and I don't even really look at a name unless the person makes a post or a mod that interests me first. :)

I wish I could change my name, I don't remember how I came up with "Valkry" but I don't like it and I don't identify with it. Oh well. :turned:

I joined when I was 15 so I have a bit of a childish username but it really isn't to bad really and people for the most part won't judge you for a username providing you don't type in text speak and coherent enough in your posts with decent grammer. More so if your post is well written along with contributing to the topic in a respectable manner.

Also read over your post just in case before submitting just it case you spell something wrong like I have on occasion leading to embarrassing mistakes.

No. C'mon, you make awesome mods.

You want to talk about childish. My name is "The Tallest", based off of a cartoon. I'm 33. And I still watch cartoons. I'm a giant kid.

No, your username doesn't say "14-year-old", it screams "15/16-year-old", because I immediately assumed you were born in the year 1995. Imagine my confusion when you stated that you're turning 17. :P I thought it was a typo at first, and you meant to say you were turning 16. But now I know that you are, in fact, nearly 17!

Usernames generally don't have any effect on my choice of mod, unless they're really over-the-top, which yours isn't. It merely implies that you're a year younger than you actually are, which makes next to no difference either way. So no, your username wouldn't make me not want to download your mod, and I don't think any sensible person would skip over your mods based solely on your username. :)
