Sooo obsidion does not actually have a forum (directs to here-huh? wierd), and pretty much all of our games are broke (or you are one of the lucky few who is not having problems), good for you; now you (and I actually mean this) should go and pickup a bunch of lotto tickets because you just totally beat the spread and you now have to be the luckiest person on the planet. For the rest of us, let's try to help out (because i'm done yelling at my TV) and perhaps point out exactly when our game freezes, so that hopefully we get a fix and not a patch that screws things up. I'll go first.
** After the mission (I believe it is called blinded by the darkness-my game won't even start now) where the B.O.S has you running down parts to fix their bunker and you turn them into Lorazzo (did that) you speak to the elder in charge (did that too) and you get the new mission where you go up to the black mountain radio to do..something. When I leave the bunker (well when it worked) i literally have 7 minutes of (real world time) till the game freezes, regardless where i go or what i do. Extra info if it helps is that i have already killed tabathia, tried to select another quest (did not matter for troubleshooting purposes), and quick traveled to another location (still freezed). I also tried to just sit there (and when i moved (like) 45 feet still freezed, also tried to figure it out if it had something to do with having music on (game music or streaming from my library on my computer-no difference). Now the file is done-gonna get drunk (try to erase the pain of this) and happy veterans day.

For me the game crashed the first few times i tried to leave Doc Mitchell's house at the start of the game, then i managed to get lucky and leave....

Now i cant go anywhere near the entire western part of the world map without a crash, the Eastern half of the world map seems to work fine (although i have had 2 separate crashes there).

Iv'e given up, it's not worth getting a RRoD over this game.

I had the exactly same problem when I entered the Black Mountain region. Specifically when I discovered Neil's Shack. I am unable to complete either mission in this area. These missions being 'Eyesight to the Blind', which is related to the B.O.S and the other being 'Crazy, Crazy, Crazy' which is related to Neil the Super Mutant. Every time I attempt one of these missions the game freezes. I decided that I would leave the area and for some strange reason, the game stopped freezing. So I'm guessing there is a major bug stopping me from entering that region around Black Mountain / completing the two missions. I am Level 30, Very Good, Messiah. I hope the patches for the 360 fix this issue because I have yet to kill an actual Super Mutant. I have killed a Nightkin, but it's just not the same.

i'm experiencing the same sort of Problems. These probs for me seem to have gotten worse as i've neared Level 30 and have 90% of the locations found(i tend to wander about alot and build character up for main quest)

Prob 1 when wandering across Hoover Dam i pressed the action button to speak to a Ranger - Screen FROZE and i couldn't continue (picture etc there) so i ended up rebooting to last save. It happened for a second time in the same area of the the Dam and i only managed to bypass Glitch by rebooting again and not "talking to anybody" while exploring Dam building etc

Prob 2 while doing a side quest to find Private White you have to go and see a hoker called Dazzle on the Strip - To access the strip you have to pass through the North Gate - Upon trying this the game went through its normal loading screen and then Crashed my Xbox ( TV screen Black and controller and Xbox unresponsive to Sign out or switch off from my controller. It did this each time i tried to enter the gate.The only solution being to switch Xbox off at the console

Having seen on the web there were possible software issues with the game i took mine back to my local Blockbusters and swapped it for a new one in the hope it would get me past that particular area of the game

Sadly this was not the case and the new disk does exactly the same. You can however go off to other areas of the map and continue trading / killing and variuos side quests but as soon as i try to go through the North Gate again the Xbox crashes
