basically having huge issues with factions

firstly they seem to appear and disappear from the list of factions under the status menu on the pip boy? maybe there is a reason for this? but its not ideal when im trying to get my head round why i get randonly attacked

next is this... they seem to randomly attack me


first time it occured was at powder gangers ncr prison
was early on in game
i had hated status, and wandered in wearing powder ganger gear just incase
they showed as red on radar so assumed they would attack me
got to guard on door, he didnt attack, had conversation about getting in, no sooner than he gave me permission to enter he started shooting at me!!
a few more guards came through door which i killed, entered door into prison expecting battle, and was told i was ok, but to watch myself?
was able to explore whole prison without incident until i got to bosses building, where again i was set upon immedeately, i killed boss and all of his body guards
left that building and was not attacked again by the powder gangers?

next time it occured was much later in the game
i was vilified with legion and as i expect they attack on sight, if i disguise myself i can wander about until dog detects me, this is all fine
but when in cottonwood cove last night i killed a few more legion soldiers in the store room, then got the message that this faction now hates me? which i thought strange as assumed vilified was worse than hated?
when i left the storeroom i was no longer being attacked, even when wearing my std power armour?
i could wander about freely, legion showed as friendly on radar.
thought i would attempt again to get to cesar as all previous attempts were un-succesful due to being vilified by the legion

legion camp :
had several issues with this
before the above occured i attempted to get to legion camp in disguise and when vilified, could disguise myself as legion and by avoiding dogs get to the camp quite easily, once there though things were a bit odd, i couldnt talk to anyone and had to avoid dogs, i assumed this was just down to the fact i shouldnt actually be there, but i managed to get it glitch badly when talking to training guard at drawbridge, it would send me back to cottonwood cove each time!

anyway following on from the above attempted again wearing my normal gear, with status of hated, guard took my armour at gate (im thinking its going to work this time)
managed to get all the way to cesars tent again before dogs set upon me and was killed .

so laughed this off and reloaded from before i took boat to camp and decided to fast travel to nearest ranger station... where i was immedeately set upon by the rangers.. even though my status was neutral?

so again re-loaded and this time disgussed myself as ncr before returning to ranger station... this time ok
went back to cottonwood with a companions killed everyone, legion status back to vilified, travelled back to ranger station in normal gear... this time they didnt attack
ok sorted i think
head back to great khans to finish the papa quest.. no problems
then fast travel to the dam... where ncr start shooting me up again, travelled to a few more NCR locations and was attacked at them all?

so now both legion and ncr shoot me on sight, unless i am wearing ncr or legion gear
despite my neutral status with the ncr?! making it very difficult to get anywhere with remaining quests!

i have no idea whats going on with this!

ive encountered many more bugs and glitches, most that i have seen mentioned already within the forum
the inventroy glitch where multiple items are hidden is of particular annoyance
along with the increased loading times the longer the game is played, i have sat for over 3 minutes waiting for a load.
monorail mission, where even if i remove the bomb from the train, it still explodes?, and if i manage to run out of room before train drives off and explodes, i cannot get the dialogue options from the ncp to complete the quest
not had the framerate slow down issue too much, mainly around path between blackmountain cave and the hidden valley (infested with scorpions)
and cannot find lily or ed-e at the moment, no idea where they went missing, but apparently are still my companions!
had it crash on me a few times, but no more than fallout3 or oblivion used to do.

i thought i would be able to solder on and ignore the bugs, but got to point where i am going to leave the game at 85hours until the bugs are resolved
am totally gutted as been waiting for this game since it was first announced, pre-ordered the special edition as soon as became available.
it seems a shame that a game that could have been great is ruined by lack of testing.. poor show
