How old were you when you first played a game?
What game was it?
What did you think the graphics were like back then?
Did you ever let down the controller after that? ;p

I think i first started to play when I was 5... I think.
It was Diddy Kong Racing :goodjob:
I thought the graphics were awesome!
And if my brother would let me play I would play that game all day when I was younger

Ahhh the good ol' days haha. I look back now at the old 007 game's.... Oh my gossshhh those graphics hahah

First game I ever played was on Atari 2600.
Don't ask me what the names of the games I played are,I don't remember.
I didn't had any opinion about graphics because these where the first graphics of videogames.
The model of a cat for example would consist of 6 or 8 white squares.

Tomb Raider was the first game I played but I also played Resident Evil on the same day as well.

I don't remember liking Resident Evil much but I loved Tomb Raider. Pretty much the opposite now though. :)

EDIT:
Not sure how old I was, probably 3-4.

The earliest game I can remember playing is Pong. I was probably about 5 or so. And the graphics were awesome, for back in the day.

Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped and it was awesome :D

but Crash went down hill after that (excluding Crash Team Racing)

Was? It is awesome.

But Cortex Strikes Back is the best.

I own at CTR. :D Makes me wanna wish it had Online play.
----

I think it was Bubble Bobble, playing it with my mother. Also Doom, wonderful gore. And I turned out alright. Right?

Graphics? Hah! I don't care about graphics.

Seems like the arcade was probably the first video game I played, but I liked pinball and air hockey better. Money better spent. We had a neighborhood teen hangout, and yes everybody walked. Nobody would stand for the embarrassment of having Mom drop you off. [edit~but some older kids even had cars, of course]
Then came Intellivison.(my younger brother's) Then came NES (Castlevania was my favorite) for our kids. I lost interest after that until Morrowind.

Yes i was into Pinball machines more then video arcade games during my youth in the 1970s aswell. Pinball machines just felt more hands on tactile and they always triggered my emotions so it was easy to vent any stress while playing and then feel mighty relaxed afterwards. With arcade video games back then i was putting all my attention to learning the gameplay system so there was no time for emotional input especially with only a dollar or two of quarters in my pocket. Once home consoles and computers hit the home market thats when the emotional fun really started since i could totally immerse myself into the game without financial worry or distractions from the environment.

it was centipede on the atari 2600, i was about nine maybe,
but i never really got into games till way later, my brother was the gamer,
and i only got svcked in when they started getting really atmospheric - tomb raider was the turning point for me,
we had a ps1 in a flat we sold weed from, with no memory card, so we couldn't save progress,
if we died we had to re-start the game from the beginning, the others used to give up and go to bed,
but picture me staying up all night every night, stoned out of my face, going half blind until i had that [censored] down cold.

CENTIPEDE was an incredible port which felt and looked just like the arcade version. I couldnt believe the visuals and sound effects i was hearing all with dazzling gameplay. I never did weed so for me the high are in the games themselves. I still remember the wavy vision i would get after playing BATTLE SQUADRON on the Commodore Amiga 500. I get the same effect from reading the end credits of STARCRAFT 2 whenever finishing the campaign :D

Some Megaman game or another that had Megaman's dog in it. It was at someone's house and I didn't really play it, just "kind of", but yeah.

I was in 1st grade and my cousin gave me his Playstation 1 and he left a game in there; Syphon Filter 2. I remember playing it and not knowing what to do but I was ecstatic when I found out how to use the gun! The next day my parents took the game away from me

Star Wars Rebel Assault/Rogue Squadron on the PC. :)

It was sometime between 1995-1997.

This was certainly in my first 5 games. My first was probably Star Wars: Dark Forces for DOS, or maybe Tie-Fighter. All I played at first was a collection of Star Wars games, and damn, /wub/, they were good.

First game was probably Super Mario Bros 3, or World. I thought(And still do) the graphics were awesome.
And then I got to go over to my friends house for the weekend, not knowing he had Super Mario 64. Needless to say I didn't do much beside play that for a good while.

Zombie Island on a Commodore PET. I think I recall you were an asterisk, the zombies were like O's but filled in, and the pits were O's. You moved one space, and all the zombies moved one space towards you, and you tried to get as many as possible to fall in the pits before one got you. Proper ye olde schoole.

I forget exactly how old I was. I think it was sometime back in the 70's, but Pong was my first video game. I remember thinking how it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. it's amazing how far they have come since then.

Mario on the original Gameboy obviously...when I was like 3 or 4...it belonged to my cousin's and it was awwwwesome :)

Although I had the PS1 and a few games I actually only consider my first PS2 game when I was 6, Jak and Daxter the Precursor Legacy as my first real game. I still think it's one of the best games ever :P

I think it was Zaxxon for the Colecovision. It wasn't my favorite but I'm pretty sure it was the first.
