Thats true Mass Effect would be ruined If multiplayer was introduced, and thats just 1 of many

People said the same about Assassin's Creed and I find them all to be proven wrong.

I think the fact of the matter is that people see '20 second respawn waves' and immediately think; "I have to wait 20 seconds to respawn??? OMG that svcks!!!!!" When in reality that's just not true, and having to wait longer than 10 seconds will be extremely rare.

I think you're right about the reason for peoples' reactions, but I wouldn't go so far as to say waiting longer than ten seconds will be extremely rare. It won't even be rare, considering you have a 50% chance to have to wait more than ten seconds. Still, even that's not a big deal, and it's not like that will happen all the time. As others have said, waiting the full twenty seconds will only happen 5% of the time.

I have high hopes for it too. I'm not worried about the respawn wave. I think for this type of game it will work great. This and BF3 will satisfy my shooter needs for awhile. I most likely, and by that I mean 80-90% sure I will pass on MW3. [censored] between this, BF3 and Skyrim, I'm set for a good while.

The key difference is that this is a respawn wave, not a respawn timer only. Everyone respawns at the same time. Therefore making it more tactical, and easier to plan an attack.


Brink-

Guy 1: 'Okay i see everyone is dead, now when we all spawn on the next wave, we all charge in together okay?
Everyone else: 'Sure!' 'Okay!' etc

Sounds way better to me :)



yea its awesome, also everybody respawns in one area thats guarded by indestructable turrets.
no more spawning 2 feet in front of enemies.... (*cough cough Black Ops)
Id allow 1 minute respawns with this set up seeing as it prevents spawn camping and promotes team work

Yea I am boycotting all future CoD titles.... seeing as its been 2 years and they still havent fixed the probs with MW2.... and they released the map pack for black ops early for Xbox screwing us PS3 fans over... not to mention Black Ops as a whole....
Plan on sticking with Brink until BF3 drops, then Ill have to re evaluate

Wave spawning is great for objective based gaming, the more your team is down, the larger the next spawn wave will be which in turns gives you a better chance to push those objectives.
Dystopia did this very well, and I also actually feel is a pioneer in the non-linear objective based FPS market.

Yea and in CoD I only played hardcoe games anyways which had 20 sec respawns. Gives you time to sip your beer and gather your senses.
