We have seen that power armor now has a jetpack.

My question is, can we use vats while in mid air?

It's not quite the same, but we couldn't activate vats while mid-jump in prior games... my guess is no, but it would be cool to select and attack enemies with vats while mid-air with a jetpack.

i dont think so since for the look of it when u use the Jetpack u consume AP

Id like to see it happen with like an accuracy penalty or something. I havent seen any footage that shows you can even use vats in power armor. 10 more days until we find out.

One time in New Vegas I activated VATS when I was about to fall off the ridge right above the 3 geckos who are attacking the goodsprings citizen during the tutorial. It waited until I hit the ground to start firing. Annoying.

Watch the deathclaw fight in the gameplay demo. He uses VATS to target the deathclaw's head.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to unless you also can't fire your weapon while using the jet pack.
