This is my opinion. The Bethesda Core Games, and the Obsidian side games. I say Obsidian should make more to build on their own timeline on THAT side of the continent. We can cover so much ground this way.

Obsidian seems to have used NV to largely write off basically all of the western U.S. as being either part of the NCR, the Legion, or full of nothing,
They only place they really havent covered in the Vancouver-Seattle-Portland area, but thats all doable in one game.
There's really not a lot of ground left to cover.
That, was what I was disagreeing with. Although, I see now that you may have intended it in jest.
Disagreeing with how I would hypothetically react?
*It can be taken as a jest ~and it is... but it's technically serious. I'd say the same of 'World of Warcraft' had it been titled Warcraft 5.
*Have I mentioned that I don't mind the Power Armor training being removed ~if it is?
(But that I'd sure like it if the Power Armor Training was an optional ... perk. One that enabled the non-intuitive features of the PA suits; and that there should be some.)
So...you're saying you want it like the old ones, but if they did, you wouldn't play them...
In the quiet words of the mother mary, come again?
yup could be it. a lot of charging down time for that firt play.

ah but the leak says that the protagonist is a soilder not exclusively male or female. the female character could ba a soilder too.
i think pa will be like a gun drop 5 mins of super awsum thunder u can call in in a fight u are clearly losing or too outnumbered. then a lot of down time. also did none of u guys see how slow the armor was u cant always wear it. and looting and changing gear doesnt stop time any more u cnat just change gear in the middle of a fight
We saw one variant of power armor. We have no idea to what degree of variety and flexibility each variant has. It could be purely stat-based or some properties will change based on the particular suit. Perhaps only some will have jump jet capabilities? It's too early to tell at this point.
Yeah, with almost no oil left, nuclear or electric power would be about the only thing available except for military aircraft like the Vertibird.
i think that will be the case, maybe this will be part of how u get involve with the Brotherhood. But i agree about the new power armor system, this new version feel ALOT more close to the lore that never before, looking how the Power armor was make to replace tanks and not wear it as a day to day armor like in Fallout 3
The only thing I didn't like about Power Armor training was that it was tied to the main quest in Fallout 3. I found that it put a bit too much pressure to complete the main quest, and it took way too long to obtain. I always said there should be an armor skill tied to damage resistance when wearing armor--- and when this skill hit 75, the player could unlock a power armor perk or something. I'm aware that skills are out, so maybe there could just be a power armor perk in the strength column of the perk chart.
Maybe their is more than one kind of Power Armor.
Doubt it, the US made the PA to serve one particular role, if the US hadn′t been nuked then maybe other kinds would have been designed eventually, but since they did, the only concept around to be used is the walking tank we see now.
Ah I see. That's an interesting idea. I don't know how in-depth PA functionality is in this game, and I'm not sure BGS would focus that much on it as it will be optional for those who want to use it. Definitely it adds depth and interest to the armor and makes one want to build their character a certain way to use it. Sadly, I have a feeling using PA is going to be rather straightforward.
From what they've shown with the Preston Garvey mission it doesn't look like you need Power armor training (possibly because the protagonist already knew how to use it from their military service way back when). I'm fine with this being the case, it creates slightly less hassle without breaking immersion.
From what they've shown power armor in FO4 looks like it will be really cool, but honestly I probably won't use it much (i never really have in the previous games)
Preston Can't use the power armor. Which is why he asks the Sole Survivor to use it instead. The SS can use it because he is former Military, Power armor division. (Female SS learned to use the armor from her Husband.
Um... why shouldn't the female SS be former military, Power Armour division? I mean, it's power armour. Surely technique, focus under pressure and multi-tasking would be the most important abilities for using it?
