12 step for me. If they'd release the GECK so I could strap a backpack onto my Vault suit, I'd be good to go. Jetpacking around the Commonwealth is the only way to go.
It depends on the character I'm playing as.
I like them like I like teddy bears or Jangles the Moon Monkey.
Another puppet for the collection.
I use it a decent amount, but definitely not all or even most of the time. I'm gonna say that I use it roughly 30-35% of the time. I do a lot of exploring and legendary farming in the Glowing Sea, and it's obviously very useful there. I use it a fair amount if I know I'm going somewhere with high level enemies too.
I have a huge power armor collection though still. I'm at around 45 full suits, with a bunch of partial suits and probably another 20 full suits of raider power armor.
Oh, I didn't consider that one.
This Poll is about preferred playstyle In General and not based on a specific character someone is roleplaying, which seems more accurate because it's about your preferred playstyle and not the playstyle you are restricting yourself to based on the character you're roleplaying.
If you are only doing one playthrough and roleplaying it, then I think it's fair to vote as that character since that's the only real in game perspective you've held.
i dont use power armor BUT i like the new power armor iteration, i think its WAY cooler than before and i collect those things in sanctuary... if i did another playthrough i would make the second one focussing on power armor (but i probably wont cause there is simply no reason to do one)
It depends on the character I'm using. My newest one uses PA probably 80-90% of the time, leaving it behind when I don't feel like bringing it along, or when it's more convenient to go without it. He's going to side with the BoS in the end, so that's why I use it more often than on other characters.
Well, if people would like a Multiple Personality Disorder Poll choice I can add that, though I addressed this and posted a reply at pretty much the same time as this second post came in.
I thin power armor looks idiotic. I put it on my first Fallout 3 character and immediately took it off. I've never put it on another character since that day.
I used it on my BoS playthrough
also have another non BoS playthrough that refuses to use it
and another non BoS playthrough that uses one against BoS
Right now I use it once on a blue moon but I suspect my usage will soon increase to closer to 10% of the time (well, 5% anyway) so I voted for that. I like how Power Armor feels in this game and all, but the game feels too easy with it most of the time so I only use it when going into the more dangerous areas of the map or clearing some of the larger super mutant bases.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of power armor #1 reason is the crappy UI while in it. Can't even tell what my rad levels are... I'd rather run around in my undies than put one of these on, however i have used them quite a few times to help with that extra defense. but that's about it.
use it every so often. Most of the time it does not really work for me.
Depends on my charcter. My gunsliger or sliver shroud charcter don't but I do have a PA charcter who uses it 90% of the time.
Clank clank I'm a tank...
Creep, dash, now you're dead...
Prefer the second...mostly, I prefer to look like I fit through doors.
"Blue moon"
I really like what they have done with PA this time around, it feels more like the original PA, in that you are a walking tank. Yes the power cores aren't quite lore friendly, but I can live with that. A huge improvement on F3 and F:NV PA, which just didn't feel right somehow.
Though after saying all that, I only use it every now and again. For places I'm going to run into stiff competition, places like
how do you guys that don't wear it survive packs of ghouls or a deathclaw ?
- abuse enemy pathing ? or just reload until u get it right ?
@agentsmith:
High perception, high agility, high AP, precision shooting in and out of VATS. A staggering combat shotgun or low AP penetrating assault rifle helps.
Shoot the legs out from under a deathclaw, and shoot the arms off ghouls, if you can't insta kill.
