Power Armour Weilders

Post » Tue Oct 19, 2010 11:06 am

I'm just wandering, who will have power armour in this game? Will it just be the BoS or what? I doubt the Caesars Leigion have PA but I think it'd be cool to eventually be tasked with retreiving power armour for the Caesers Leigion (if you're on their side). Also do the NCR have PA?

The elite members of NCR may possess it, considering they had a war with the Brotherhood. Why wouldn't they use the resources of the fallen Brotherhood members?

I don't think Caesars Legion could obtain Power Armor, nor could the NCR. And if they tried to, I bet the BoS would have something to say about that.

i just really really hope power armour isnt as plentiful as it was in fallout3, i remember first time playing fallout and getting power armour and stoked i was, granted after you learn the game you can get the best weapons and armour in fallout 1/2 in like 10 minutes, but it wasnt everywhere like it was in fallout3
it made it so it really wasnt special

I think that the NCR might have a new type of power armour, considering they have industry and science and what not.

It would be awesome to see someone in CL (probably i major commander/leader) with SOME sort of blinged out PA (t-51, t-45, some stolen Enclave model idc) with a red Roman-style crest and everything.

I would love to see PA in the game, but only if its not as plentiful as in Fallout 3. I think only an elite few of CL and NCR or whoever else in the game should get it.
I also really hope there are alot of variations of power armor and not just a standard type that everyone wears like in fallout 3; like if each person that had PA was allowed to add their own customizations to it. Logos, markings and such.

But like all Romanesque, with red and gold all over, and the power helmet shaped like this http://www.swordsandarmor.com/images/H-910914-RD_Roman.jpg

They wouldn't be running around in skirts if they didn't want to try and emulate the Romans. It's not very practical to wear in a war with guns.

Do you know who the Caesar's Legion are? I wasnt saying they are Romans, i was stating how they emulate them, and that if they did have a power variant or wahtever of their own, i thought it would be pretty sweet if the helmet looked like the one that was in the link.

Dont worry about it lol, and i was just saying gold and red because that is what i see of a glamourised Roman Empire's troops. But whatever power armour or not they put in, i just hope that it seems modified to have been, brought into line, with the legions dress style.

I think if you piss off either faction enough they should send their power-armored troops against you.

Nope, as far as I can remember not a single person can create more power armor.
It's a lot more than just taking scrap metal and bending it to look like the power armor, it has a bunch of fun little knick knacks in it that no one has the materials for.
For example, who creates rubber (not condems) in 2280? Doesn't rubber come from Asia or something?
How could people who don't have the raw materials come up with new one's?
So, a power armor is filled with a bunch of really technical stuff, from the big shoulder plates to small screwes inside the armor.
It isn't as easy to just create something you don't have the blueprint or materials for.
So if anyone could create power armor it would be Enclave Remnants, BOS or Shi, but none of them are close to it.

I think that's an awesome idea. Their currency is made of gold, so they could make that easily. The leader should definitely have heavily modified power armor.

If ofcourse they have Power Armor units, which I think they should both have. Well atleast the NCR, because during their war with the BOS, they wouldve caputred a few of the Brotherhoods military instillations, which would have bound to of contained some Power Armor

Hmm yeah, I mean honestly? I don't really mind about the looks, as long as it has good bonus's and a decent damage threshold then it could be a hot dog suit for all I care haha :disguise:

If I come across power armor, I'll just sell it or hoard it, not really into it myself. I'm guessing NCR will have some form of power armor, unless there into more stealth ways of combat like that ranger(badass from trailer)

Sidenote- since we all call him 'the badass from the trailer' would he be named that in game lol? that would make me laugh so hard.
