Power Leveling

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 4:24 am

I never usually power level, but i really want to make a breton conjurer who is brilliant at conjuring, but i want this early. so i was thinking of making conjuration a minor and then power leveling it to 100, so that i wouldn't level. or should i make it a major and level fom it, but would this lead to underleveling? and how long do u thinks this would take in constant power levelng. thanks

Make it a minor skill for sure.

I would recommend raising it by no more than 10 per level, otherwise you waste intelligence increases.

I would take it as a minor. Enter the University and create a bound dagger x 1 second spell for your training spell.

One consideration is the impact of this on building your intelligence attribute. By spamming conjuration up to 100 in a level or two, you will have to be much more careful controlling the use of alchemy and mysticism if you want to get good intelligence bonuses when you level up and build intelligence to 100.

Since conjuration levels quite quickly, the time to max it should not be that great.

Take it as a minor, but if you want to get the int bonuses from it when leveling then maybe take two major skills that are easy to level that won't level int, like mysticism and illusion, this way you can power level 3 skills get the stat bonuses and still get to 100% conj in no time without having to lose out on all those +5's

*edit* sorry I mean alteration not mysticism :P

The main downside to increasing conjuration from without leveling is, as drewmandan says, is that you waste intelligence skill increases. That means it may be more difficult or impossible to eventually increase intelligence to 100, since you might not have enough mysticism or alchemy skills increases left to get the intelligence bonus points.

Well i took it as a major, because i couldn't be bothered losing out on all the intelleence and efiicient lvling etc. i got it from 40-100 in about 50 minutes, this got me to level 7 with 85 int and 270 magicka, and i can finnaly summon a storm atronach :)

I think I understand this. You took conj as a major and spammed it up 10 skill ups (not increasing any other majors) so you leveled up and got a +5 to intel. Then repeated. Interesting. Did you also increase some of your minor skills each level in order to get good attribute bonuses to a couple other attributes besides intel?

A level 7 character who is rather weak but can summon OMG helpers would survive rather well I should think.
