'Power' Mode

Post » Sat Nov 13, 2010 11:38 am

Just wondering, if speed and strength modes are being combined into 'power'
does that mean that it will be using up energy twice as fast?

If this is the case; it svcks. I want ot be running and jumping off everything for a good minute! Confusing enimies by jumping up on roofs and sprinting around them :P

As far as I know they have combined strength and speed, I don't like that they combined them just right now, but when the game comes out I think everything will be fine and you don't need to worry.

...it's the nanosuit 2.0 so...i don't think that...you consume the "standard" energy to use the two modes...cause...the speed mode it's only active when you're running [i guess]

Running in power mode allows you to run faster and svcks up energy at a slow but sustained rate.

Jumping in power mode allows you to jump higher and svcks up energy in a fast jolt.

If you are in power mode and not doing either of the two then you are not using any energy and you are fine. :)

So it means, that the power/energy in this mode is equally distributed according to the nanosuit's user. Whether just jumping, running and does that include punching? There's no maximum strength anymore right?

Looks like I have to explain this again. Power Mode isn't speed and strength combined, but lower body strength. Holding the sprint button allows you to run faster and holding the jump button allows you to jump higher. I assume your suit power will only drain faster if you high jump while sprinting. Upper body strength(punching and throwing farther) is a part of Armor Mode.

I'm guessing Power Mode will be the new default, like Armour mode was in Crysis 1. You only lost energy when you were shot and it recharged. Power will probs be like that but loose energy when u strength jump or sprint

as seen on the gameplay videos, you don't use energy for jumping high or meleeing, just for cloaking(over time), armoring(over time and when taking damage) and sprinting.

Those players don't know how to use the suit :P

I've linked the Hero's Journey trailer to a moment where he's merging suit modes.
Look at the energy drain slowly over time from Armour, and when he starts sprinting it drops very, very quickly.
