So after installing about 20 mods through Wrye Bash without testing (Yeah...I know... dumb) I decided to revert back to a Vanilla form (uninstalling all mods through Wrye Bash) with just Oblivion GOTY (non-steam), Shivering Isles and Official DLC's + UOP + USIP, OBSE, OSR, OBSE, OBMM and Wrye Bash (standalone).
I run the game through Pinnacle Profiler (So I can use almost full controls with a Wired Xbox Gamepad). Pinnacle Profiler loads up OBMM and from there I Launch Oblivion. My resolution for the game is 1360x768 /60Hz as I run the display through My Sony Bravia via HD Cable from Graphics Card.
ANYWAY, The problem I'm having now before I can move on to testing the game's install stability is my PC keeps powering off. So I have to figure out what hardware problem I'm having.
Ran Riva Tuner Statistics with an OSD showing in-game the GPU temp, usage and speed and while running around killing in open lands after the sewers I moved on to Imperial City and ran around fighting all the Guards who obviously then swarmed me. GPU never got above 58 C/136 F and CPU cores between 55 C-56 C (131 F - 133 F before the PC COMPLETELY powers off instantly. Those temps are fine while intensively gaming right?
So I'm thinking it's memory or the PSU dying. There's nothing in the ACTUAL install that could cause this power off right? I mean like missing meshes/textures/esp/esms or such right?
the .ini files wouldn't cause this either would it? I edited the oblivion ini and changed all the required 'threaded' values from 0 to 1 and edited the other core tweaks as instructed.
What about pagefile? Would that cause it and should I clear it or change it at all? I've only used about 33% of the pagefile.
Sorry to drill you guys with so many questions. Just want to be thorough. I really want to get this game working with the mods I've chosen in a stable setup.
