Powering the Settlement

I have a generator, I have a pylon. I have multiple pylons.
What am I doing wrong?
If someone could explain it to me, and/or provide a link to a YouTube video tutorial, it would be much appreciated.

You need to run wires from the generators to the polls. When your in the crafting section and can pick to plant stuff "triangle" ps4 attach wire the string it along to where you need it.

Forgot to say you need to have the item highlighted "generator" then the option is there.

Hot plates have copper. Been picking up and checking what items have what so I know what to pick up.

I didn't see the Y wire button. I'll check it tomorrow.
If I get it sorted tomorrow, will try again. If I get it to work, will share vid onthe Studio if I do it fast enough.
Until then, thanks gus. Will check back tomorrow.
