Praise the Devs and Pass the Ammo: We got M1911s!

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 1:54 am

While I will be using the Mateba I got as a preorder bonus in Brink, personally I think we have enough revolvers in New Vegas....

You realize there's only 2 and the Mateba is a pistol revolver hybrid?

There are 5. 8 including uniques and the Sequoia. Hybrid, or no, I don't think it would be necessary.

The Mateba is extremely uncommon, while the M1911 is universally known. That probably influenced the devs significantly when deciding which new guns to put in.

well i got to admit i had to look it up and i'm not a expert in guns "Ithaca (M1911-A1): (Return to top) Ithaca started production in December of 1942 and was the only established firearms company to produce 1911A1"

and yes that is a old gun hehehe pré WWII

tho mine was not this old corse mine was from the earlly 60's

"The Walther P38 is a 9 mm pistol that was developed by Walther as the service pistol of the Wehrmacht at the beginning of World War II. It was intended to replace the costly Luger P08, the production of which was scheduled to end in 1942."

so yes they started production of the P38 a lil sonner than Ithaca(M1911-A1)

1942 is just when Ithaca started producing them....Colt produced first the M1911 then the M1911A1 long before the P38 was designed. As far as the P38 you used in the Army, it probably was really made by Manurhin in France if the date on it was in the early '60s.

i never got curious about where it was made but yes my P38 was from the earlly 60's, allso taking in account the guns age she was a damn good one survived the colonial war and a tour in bosnia before me and onlly jammed on me once :D

Looks like stock blade and notch sight setup. That pic is now my desktop, so I can look at it all I want. :celebration: I like your other estimates. That's just about where I guess for everything.

Yeah. Already confirmed: M1917 Enfield, M2 Hyde SMG, M50 Reising, M1 Carbine and M1941 Johnson. Like, I wish.

Oh, he's sooooooooo dead.

No.

Yes. :foodndrink:

If it's in a larger caliber, it should have a slower ROF. But remember: DLC weapons have magic powers.

Think I saw a unique service rifle in the HH trailer.

Not sure, but it was firing kind of fast.

Could it be... full auto?!

You mean the assult rifle from FO3.

Yeah it could be, but I think I saw writing on the stock, so it's probably unique.

Just to clear up any misconceptions: the .45 Auto Pistol and .45 Auto Submachine Gun both use a new ammo type: .45 Auto.
