slightly off topic, but one for you gun fiends, Chris posted this on his Twitter:

" Wait for 2077, and Sig-Sauer has made all sorts of weapons. #Fallout"

http://www.sigsauer.com/

#gunprOn

When did he post this?
"Weapons" as in not just guns? :hubbahubba:

^Nope, they're browning HPs.

I can see myself grabbing a lot of these, i came back from Dead Money with 6 Automatic Rifles and 13 police pistols before i decided i had enough of them.

There is a definite difference.

. But since DLC weapons seem to get a free pass on realistic balance, ie: the short barrel police pistol does a ton more damage than it's bigger .357 Revolver cousin,

Shorter barrels usually result in higher damage.

Except the .357 Reveolver's longer barrel mod increases damage.

Sawed off Shotguns>Regular Shotguns

Usually shorter barrels can lead(keyword, can) to higher damage, at the steep price of accuracy. Atleast to my understanding

The sawed off is firing both barrels at once. According to the wiki it does the same damage per shell as the single shotgun, while using the more powerful and expensive 12 gauge ammo.

yea, i'm not sure. i've heard that a longer barrel on a handgun, or rifle, will build up back-pressure, for more of a "punch". this would prob be different in the case of a shotgun firing say, buck or bird-shot.(maybe little, or no back pressure).
...gunny, will you clear this up for us?

Sawnoff barrels on shotguns is better at close range as it allows the shot/pellets to spread faster.
Edit
Anything with a groved barrel the longer the barrel allowes for greater accuarcy & yes more punch due to more time for the gasses to build up to propel the round faster.

You're not thinking they are bringing WWII weapons in this add-on, right?
We're not gonna have the Springfield M1903 or something in this addon.

Sorry, I didnt mean the M1 version, I ment " the type writer" version. We have a energy weapon version, but it just doesnt do the thompson justice!

Man. Are you people going to be disappointed if it turns out that they're just nines.

I'm having a really difficult time seeing a difference between the in-game model and the one Graham's holding in the new screenie.

Maybe somebody can actually go ahead and spell out the differences between them?

For a start - notice the bolts on the grip panel of the M1911, they're not on the 9mm.
The trigger looks more pronounced on the 9mm. The hammer is also different, the 9mm has a circular one - the M1911 does not.

The muzzle on the M1911 is slightly broader and shorter than the 9mm also.

They'll probably call it a Colt 45 and the mod for it is probably a suppressor :flamed:

a "hair trigger" would be cool.

^ this

@ Commandant Oreo, you actually know why people (in most cases) saw off the shootgun barrels?

it's cuse it makes them more easy to concil and efecient at 1m distance cuse in does cases you don't need power, you need a wide grain spreed, even in hunt for instance a hunting shootgun for rabits has smaler barrer than a shoot gun for hunting birds what we can in here (portugal) a "pombeira"

I dont understand why they would make a gun that looks very similar to another gun in the vanilla, when they could put in a Desert Eagle or Glock 40.
