Well this is what they said to me in there latest email:
"Thank you for contacting Walmart.com regarding preordering the Brink w/ Exclusive The Spec Ops Pack w/ Bonus $10 Walmart.com eGift Card (PS3).
As specified on the Walmart.com item page, Brink w/ Exclusive The Spec Ops Pack w/ Bonus $10 Walmart.com eGift Card (PS3) is being sold as a preorder. The release date for this item is May 10, 2011.
This item falls under the Preorder Promise, which offers release date delivery at no extra charge. Restrictions for this service are as follow:
Only pay 97-cent Shipping.
Must have an official street date that falls on a week day.
Offer not valid if order is placed within 3 business days of game release date.
Excludes APO/FPO, PO Boxes, Puerto Rico, and remote destinations.
Excludes nationwide manufacturer delays and weather delays.
May only be ordered Ship to Home."
It's funny how all the sudden they act like they had the right date all along after I had to send them links proving to them the actual release date was moved up to May 10th. With that said seeing as they have a pre-order promise if the game does not arrive at my house on release day after the run around they gave me in emails they will be giving me the game for free or there will be issues thats all I am saying lol.
My horror story with walmart is still on going, talked to customer support, the rep didn't understand how it had a delivery window with a pre-order promise. Supposedly he put in an email to higher ups regarding the issue, but this is the email I recieved from Walmart.com customer support today.
Thank you for contacting Walmart.com regarding the shipping of your order on the release date.
We apologize for the inconvenience. However, as specified on the Walmart.com item page, Brink w/ Bonus Spec Ops Pack (PS3) is being sold as a preorder. The release date for this item is 13 May. We will ship the item to you promptly after it has been released. Your credit card will not be billed until the item is shipped.
Please note that that the item will not be delivered to you on the release date. The preorder cannot be shipped prior to it's release and is a way to guaratee a copy of the game, not a guranteed delivery on the date of release.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
If we have not fully answered your question or you have additional questions, please reply to this email.
Sincerely,
Walmart.com Customer Care
Just recieved that email from walmart a couple days ago. I dont think they have a clue what they are doing. I got a reply from Splash Damage and their Customer Relations manager is contacting bethesda about walmart. Who knows maybe they will get it correct in time. All I know is regardless of the outcome this headache is enough for me to stay away from walmart.com
