I think you can. You'll have to call your local gamestore.

Steam is a digital distribution service, not a local store :P

I don't know. What is the release date for the retail version in stores in your region? That is the same date that the game will unlock on Steam for you.

Just buy it on steam, I wouldn't even bother pre-ordering it since its so close to release, and its not like steam can run out of copy's, as opposed to a store.

We don't have gamestores here... well at least not one that I know :(

I know it's close to release, but I also want to get the bonus, and I want to be able to play on 19th instead of 22nd.

I think 19 is only for North America.
You can check the steam store to see when it gets "unlocked".

Oh, I'm sorry. Well, just check the Steam store page. It should have a countdown timer with days and hours. Whatever it counts down to should be when it unlocks for you if you pre-order through Steam.

You can only do that if you move to North America where the release date is the 19th.

I guess so, but last time I pre-ordered a game on Steam (Borderlands) the counter was set to the USA release date, but when there were only some minutes to unlock, it suddenly changed to the European release date, and that kinda pissed me off.

Someone from Bethesda/Obsidian can provide me some info here?

I do not understand how hard is this:

1) Open the web browser
2) Go to: http://store.steampowered.com
3) Find Fallout: New Vegas (Here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/22380/)
4) Check the time left until the unlocking.

Also I do not understand how nobody told you this.

Best regards!

If you would ever have read the Steam Users Forum, you would have realized that there was a problem with the release day by the side of Gearbox. The day for Fallout: New Vegas will not change.

Just a heads up; I bought FO3 through steam thinking I would get it 3 days earlier; it updates to the real unlock date after the NA release.

To make matters worse many stores here in Aus just went ahead and released it early anyway; so just a warning with my previous experiences. I'm sure the same thing will happen again.
