So just to be sure since I don't really pre-order things. It's $50 flat payment on steam and you;ll be able to download the game on release date right? Not like $50 now and then an extra 10 or something? Just that $50 seems incredibly cheap for a new release apparently AAA title... however I'm told Americans typically pay 50-60 bucks for a new game so maybe that's just culture shock speaking here.
Brink is the only game I'll have ever pre-ordered, says something about how awesome it looks.
If you pre-order from steam it's 50$ that's it and once it gets closer to release date you can pre-load the game onto your PC so when it comes out you can play it right away without having to install it right then

This is exactly how Steam does it. If you don't preorder from Steam keep in mind you need to run the game through steam to play it.
It seems only some games come out at 59.99 (Call of Duty and Medal Of Honor I'm looking at you!), I'm glad that a great title like Brink is starting at 49.99$.

It is possible but not guaranteed that you will be able to pre-load Brink. It depends on if the Developer / Publisher pays the fee to do so, although if a game utilizes Steamworks then Steam offers pre-loading as a free feature. (Or at least that is how I read it works, it may not be entirely accurate, I just know there is no guarantee that Steam will allow you to pre-load the game.)
if you'd rather have hard copy, you can pre-order fromhttp://www.futureshop.ca/Search/SearchResults.aspx?path=ca77b9b4beca91fe414314b86bb581f8en20&q=Brink&sp=FS_en-CA_GameSP&Category=Gaming&targetCategory=15&pcname=MCCPCatalog&AllowSecure=True or Best Buy for 49.99 for PC
$60 as new release price? What country is this, I'm moving.
in Australia(the country I live in in case it wasn't clear) new release is $90. They seem to be basing the price on exchange rates from 2 decades ago. $50 US is approximately equal to $57aus and they are freakin charging $90 for it. Thank god for Steam.
i got mine for 64.52 at Walmart with standard shipping and in Canadian 60$ is 58 CAD < Google translators. might not be accurate but it's what i got lol hope it helps

Seriously, anyone know if this will actually pre-load? If so, I'm going to wake up early, get started, then go to 2 hour or so school and come back. Last day ftw.
