Pre-Order Problem

Post » Sat Oct 23, 2010 3:20 am

I got an email today from GAME confirming that I got my Order declined due to money issues.
I was wondering if I can still pick up the special edition from retail instead of pre-order and still recive my Spec-Ops and DOOM packs?

Thanks for the help!

Did you give them your money beforehand? As far as I know, "Pre Order" means to secure a copy at release. Walmart goes out of thier way to say that to everyone.

If you paid beforehand, they're legally entitled to give you your copy, or they'd be scamming.

Gamestop does pre-orders. Go in there before release and put some money down. this will get you the game and your codes.

I thought I could get the codes because I got Recon and the Chest for Reach. 7 days after Reach released.
Could this be the case with BRINK?

Relax, in all likelihood these pre-orders will be available as DLC at some point in the future. I know they said they
have no plans to release them in the future, but me thinks they legally have to say so they won't face any legal
action from those pre-order retailers that they most likely signed a contract with.

If SD and Bethesda say they are going to release these pre-orders at a later future date and time then most people
won't worry about pre-ordering from these specific retailers thus causing those retailers to lose business. Most
potential buyers would simply find the cheapest price at which they could get the game or wait to pick up a used
copy in a week's time. Pre-orders guarantee business for both game designer and game seller.

It's just smart business to release as much as they can in the terms of DLC, especially for a game with as much
customization as Brink. I would bet my *insert something valuable here* that we will see these pre-orders as
DLC at some point in the near future.
