Pre-ordering Skyrim

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 6:01 am

Sorry if this has been said already.

I want to pre-order Skyrim for the Xbox and I have a few questions.

1. Who would you recommend to pre-order from?

2. Is there a special edition yet?

Thanks!!!!!! :brokencomputer:

No special edition confirmed yet, but I'm sure there will be one.

And Best Buy, Gamestop and Amazon(I think) have the best bonuses for preordering through them. However I'm hoping there aren't any add ons when you buy the game <_< I hate that.

There is no collecters edition announced, and for pre-ordering just forget about it, pre-ordering is just a waste of money it does nothing. Now untill a collecters edition is announced there will be limeted copys so than I would get one on reserve or pre-order a collecter edition than. For a regualer copy don't worry about pre-ordering.

Well you could go ahead and and put the $65 down on it and wait until the CE is announced then switch your pre-order to that.

Pre-ordering might be alright if you actually got it on time, usually it means waiting two weeks longer the what anyone who buys it from a shop has to wait.

Pre-ordering does not do anything, its basicly a gimmick, I asked a bozo Gamestop worker on the reason to pre-order BFBC2 and he said becuase they might run out of copys, guess what the day BFBC2 came out there were hundreds of copys to buy lol. Pre-ordering is basicly incase the copys run out at your local gamestop they will have yours on hold for you to pick up since it was pre ordered, but the thing is they never run out, they get like a 500 shipment of copys.

I also hate bonuses for people who pre-order, that leaves content out for people who just buy it and dont pre-order, a collectors/special edition is fine, but no pre-order bonuses.

I pre-ordered through Gamestop. They will allow me to switch over to CE edition once it's announced and I still get one of the first copies to arrive.

All pre-orders do is ensure you get a copy on release day - it's like asking them to hold a copy for you, but with perks. You don't even have to pay for it - how the hell is it a waste of money?!

Yea but for people who dont want or have the extra money to pre-order, the extra perks/bonuses that come with pre-ordering kind of leaves content out of the game which is unfair in some ways if you think about it. Take LA Noire for example, if you pre-ordered you got a whole extra case to investigate, I heard it was quite good to, so pre-order bonuses to me should not be included with any game anymore.

pre-ordering doesn't cost extra money, if you mean that they don't have the money to pay for the game on day 1, then yes it's a bummer for some.
