Predict the Metacritic score

Post » Sat Jan 22, 2011 11:54 pm

what do you guys think this game will get??
the most recent game i bought was homefront. it was met with very good ratings ( like 8s and 9s ) but it quickly dropped once other critics like IGn started to rate it.
call me crazy.... but i actually think IGN reviews fairly on a few occasions.

im HOPING for around a 90 on metacritic.... but thats what we all ( homefront community ) thoughs homefront would get, but it ended up with a 71,which dropped THQs stock significantly.

I would think it would get something close of a 9.

But Scoring sometimes are favored by the reviewers. So the Score dosent really mean anything.

I'm placing my (lack of) money on 87% Metascore.

I'm hoping for higher, but that's what I'm expecting.

If this game delivers as well as it does on paper, then it will be well into the 90's, but it's so unique in its game play that it's just hard to tell how people will accept it at this time. It all boils down to how well it plays to its style.

If the gameplay and SMART system is fun as they seem and they have a flawless release, id like to see a 93-95. If theres a few hiccups here or there then it will probably get an 86-88.

I just hope people like IGN won't give it a low score, just because it's not a Call Of Duty title, which they give 9.5's and up.

IGN are sell outs.

My friend once told me that IGN apparently get bribed like companies like Activision to give good reviews. Although this is PURE SPECULATION

I'd have to say an honest 95, if activision pays them off and gets them to badly review Brink 60. We all know activision is scared of Brink :celebration:

I'm gonna say about a 93-95. Seems like media members who have gotten playtime with it enjoy it throughly.

There's a reason people call them "IGNorant" you know...

I think my favourite I've seen is the video review where the guy's talking about how the orbs have really bad pop-in, and you can't see them until you're literally directly across the street from them. And while he's saying that, you get to see several orbs pop in. 4 - 5 blocks away and halfway (or more) up a skyscraqer when he's close to ground level.

I'm guessing 83-88 honestly. I'm sure the game will deserve a better score but call me crazy that's what I'm guessing. A bit off topic but IGN only gives 9's and 10's to as I like to say "People who matter". Everyone else gets an 8.5 tops. While not all reviewers follow this trend thank god I can see it dragging down the scores a bit. Still anything is possible.

Somewhere between 84 and 89. High enough to show it's a quality game, but not high enough to win TOO many CoD fans. If Brink had more hype/money surrounding it I could see 91-94.

i would say somewhere in the mid 80's. It may deserve higher but I'm guessing it won't appeal to a wide enough fan base to break into the 90's.

i would hope in the 90s but i would bet on having a mid/low 80s range since brink isnt goin to be for everyone (specifically the cod skillstreak loving [censored]).

Realistically its hard to say until we get the game ourselves.

But like others - If this S.M.A.R.T systems pans out aswell as its boasting.

And the fun factor continues even after countless hours of play.

I reckon we will see a 85-90 Score.

Mid 80's is my guess. For some reason, Metacritic still accepts reviews from easily-frustrated critics who will give a game 2/10 for a single flaw that rubs them the wrong way.

For some, Brink will seem refreshing and unique. For others, it will seem like too much of a deviation from the standard formula.

Score: 8.9
I think it's going to be an epic game but I'm afraid some reviewers might not
understand it's inovative approach (really hope I'm wrong though)
