I prefer War Axes for one-handed and Great Swords for Two-Handed.

I prefer one handed swords and daggers. i mostly roll with a sword/dagger in one hand. with no shield or dual wielding.

I like the swords (both types) because they are quicker to swing.

I use whatever seems appropriate for my character at the time. That said....I typically go for one handed blades (with a focus on daggers) and two handed maces.

Swords for both. I am a master of the blade, after all.

Voted swords, but waraxes have grown a bit on me. Battleaxes for 2H.

No one voted maces yet? Huh. Sword, sword for me. I like being a swordsman when I melee. I'd prefer not to, of course. Arrows and wood folded into an arch are fine for me.

I like Dual Wielding Bound Swords, but I like the look of carrying two Axes. I wish Draugr Death Overlords were true Nords and carried more Ebony Axes.

Even I like also the swords in both I have always preferred axes more.

Atm, longswords. I duel wield them, as well.

As for two handed, hammers seem to fascinate me for some reason but it is fun smashing things

I just hate having to hunt down and fight six or seven Deathlords in row to get matching Axes, I often resort to saving before entering the "exit" of places where I know a Draugr Deathlord will spawn with a One Handed Weapon for the second Axe.

If Valdar had an Ebony Axe (and not esssential)...
