Preformance Mods

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 6:38 pm

I was a little late to the upgrade, but I finally picked up Oblivion on my computer (Having played it 400+ Hours on my 360) I still havent raked up enough cash to buy a new graphics card, so im running in house graphics, which honestly isnt all that bad, Im able to run it on very high quality, full distant land, full grass distance, with just a little bit of lag. Im just wondering if there are any mods that work out those last few jitters?

Stabilization and Optimization mods - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=stabilization_and_optimization_mods <-- get at least OBSE, OSR, Streamline and Optimised Distant Land MAX

If you have on-board sound, get Quiet Feet MAX as well. Don't forget the OMOD Installer.

Oblivion.ini Tweaks - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=oblivion_ini_tweaks#OnBoardSound <-- The on-board sound tweaks for the Oblivion.ini help tremendously as well

Edit: If you do not use OBMM, it will save you a few headaches.

OBMM - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=obmm
OMOD Installation - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=omod_installation
OBSE - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=obse <-- In case you need further instructions for installing it

These are the ones I use

http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23208, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22282, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22410 (although I'm pretty sure OSR includes this already), and there is also http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10400 but I don't use that one so can't comment on its effectiveness. The others help me a lot though.

They all require http://obse.silverlock.org/ to use.

Streamline.ini Setup - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=streamline_ini_setup <-- forgot this one, which should help you give Streamline a more amicable config
Mod INI Tweaks - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=mod_ini_tweaks <-- still coming along, but it may give a better description of how to set the FPS range in Streamline to allow it to work "nicely" with OSR

obse and streamline are not compactible if you bought game from D2D or maybe other online game sellers.

Yup, you can't use OBSE when you downloaded the game from D2D, but you can use OBSE with Steam version.
