Is it safe to start this quest preliminary with help of some console commands? I dont want to rush the main quest just for getting a follower (butch)

You actually WANT Butch as a follower?

I've heard games sometimes get buggy if you do things like that. Just something worth considering.

I have no idea if it would screw things up for you later on but you should be able to start the quest by using setstage 00014ea3 10

Thanks, this starts the quest ok but thats it. Amalia hasnt appeared, no radio message, no vault riot etc.
