Hmm I am Australian so I don't fall into the American times and yet my steam says unlocks in 1 day 18 hours (Which is Tuesday 4am for me) Honestly I hope this doesn't get to that time and then go "Ooops for literally no reason at all we're going to make you wait longer"

Grrr! I have to wait on the delivery guy to bring mine so while you're happily playing all night, I'll be staring at the ceiling trying to stop myself from buying the game again on Steam. :banghead:

Or I could stay up and bug you with 100 messages while you're in-game. Hmmm...

So 2:00 AM Central Time.

Just as well, I have work that day, and I'll have hit the hay by then.

It's gonna be a looooong day at work on Tuesday...

Well, my computer doesn't get turned back on until I get back from work, and I'm not near any internet-enabled computers during work, so your attempts to spoil me will be futile. B)

12:01am PST? That's cool for me. That will be 1:01am my time - which means that I don't have to go get in line at 10pm for the Gamestop midnight release - I can get there around 12:15am or so and pick up my copy, have time to get home, install it, get settled in - all before it can be unlocked. Gamestop isn't doing anything special for the release anyway (I checked), so no sense spending time out in the cold if I don't have to.

So is Steam guaranteed to hold this time or is it gonna default to Valve Time?

Nothing is certain when in comes to Valve and time. With ttheir casual disregard for time and constant disrespecting of time, I'm beginning to think either time insulted Valve's mother, or they have a time machine.

And I'm a little miffed that the store clock still shows it unlocking at 1 PM EST on the 19th. What is everyone else's Steam store page showing for New Vegas?

mine says game will unlock in exactly 2 days which can't be right because that would mean it would come out in the morning on tuesday at like 10 am. i think they might mean 1 and a half days not sure.

That is what my store clock is showing - 2 Days, 0 Hours.

Why does Steam even bother with unlock clocks? They haven't been accurate for the last 3 games I followed using them until literally the last few hours before unlock, when they suddenly change to be accurate. It's like Valve programmed them using Valve Time math or something.
