Yes, as the title says preload is now available on Steam. Just restart the Steam and preload your game. :) It is 6.9 GB.

Pretty standard for a full blown game these days. Metro 2033 is 6.78.

I know it's a bit late, but I still haven't decided if I want to preorder through Steam or Gamestop (EB games) yet... :(

Steam is so convenient...

Yes, you can play the game immediately after the unlock when it is released.

It depends. Sometimes they hold out a couple of hundred megs for download on the release day in case someone happens to break the encryption. But usually you just have to wait a few minutes for everything to decrypt come game day if you have pre-loaded and then you are good to go!

Thanks, OP!

Pre-loading now!

I hope Bethesda will upload game's manual to Steam too so we can read it while waiting the release. :)

How many gigs is the preload? Because I recall the system req. saying that you needed 10 gigs.

I don't know why anyone would want to do that honestly. I really want to play it bad too and it's tempting to play the leaked versions, but it's all the more worth the wait when it's officially released in my opinion.

Yep. Only if you pre-ordered on Steam.

Sweet, sweet, caravan pack . . .

I almost respect my computer more now, knowing New Vegas rests on its harddrive, awaiting the glorious day of its access! Bwahaha!

EDIT:
Darn. That Miko19 ninja has returned! :ninja:

I eagerly await to see if it's just the executable that's locked. I want to peruse the BSA archives in the mean time till proper release and see all the cool meshes and textures awaiting inside. :D

Usually the whole kit and kaboodle is encrypted tighter than Fort Knox. Good luck to you though!
