Graphics
==========
Bad. I can't sugarcoat it. I know that there is supposed to be an update and I hope it improves the graphics but as they are right now they are not good. The textures don't load quick enough when you move fast so it looks blurry. These graphics will not impress anyone. Mark my words.
Multiplayer
==========
The bots are dumb. That is not a problem for me because I play MP but since not many people are on I've been forced to play against bots quite a bit and the AI is less than acceptable. Sometimes my team will have to defend the objective and the opposing team won't even try to get the objective until like the last minute of the game. That is just one example.
So far there has been quite a bit of lag. I'd say 70% of the games I've played have lag. Maybe its because the limited amount of players right now don't have good connections but we will see. So far this is a concern. As a result of the lag the game comes across as glitchy. Like when you climb over stuff you jump over it twice. That's just one example.
On the bright side when I do find a good server and good human players.....Brink is a lot of fun. It is fast paced and really requires teamwork to win. It's the first game that has ever reminded me of RTCW gameplay. I have a feeling private matches and clan matches will be fun. Public rooms will be hit and miss with lag.
Also I really like the inclusion of public match options like standard, advanced, competitive and old school playlists. Competitive playlists for example limit players to 5 per team and have ff on.
Gameplay
=========
The movement is very cool. As I play more I've been getting better at strafing while shooting and evading bullets. That wasn't the case when I first played it. Stick with it and you will be rewarded. When I get a 1 v 1 firefight its usually whoever has the best aim and movement wins....if its a good server. I've had several epic 1 v 1 fights in tight corridors where we are both strafing. I had one against a heavy with a shotgun and I outmaneuvered him in the corridor with strafe shooting/hipfiring and parkour sliding....very cool. The shooting is pretty accurate. There is some bloom in the reticule so burst firing is a must. It looks like hip firing will be a viable option most of the time. I've been killing people who stand and ads pretty consistently with strafe/hipfiring/parkour.
As you get more perks it feels like the game speeds up. The first couple of rounds I played the game felt slow but as I picked up abilities I was able to do things like sprint and reload, sprint and cook nades, speed up the timer for nades and ammo, etc. This really makes the gameplay faster so if you are disappointed at the game speed when you first play it...give it time. It gets better.
Customization
============
Not really much I can add here. You guys know pretty much everything from recent threads. I will say that it adds a little strategy and will keep people occupied. There are customization options for private matches which are fairly limited. There is no weapon restricting. You can customize time, player count, ff, voip, buffs, gametype and rank restrictions...that's about it.
Overall the game has promise and I love the gameplay. My major concerns are the lag and the graphics. Both are unacceptable for current gen. I hope the 360 patch fixes it.
If I had to assign a rating for the game I would say 7/10. If they fix the lag/graphics issues its probably an 8-8.5/10.
