I think that, if there are some pre-order bonuses, they should be something physical, like a figurine.

Wait to preorder ATLEAST a month before release. The best deals, price wise and preorder bonus wise, usually show up closer to release dates. I'll wait up until a week before, unless a great deal pops up before then.

I'd bet my life on some kind of preorder bonus. It's pretty much a given these days. I don't like it, but it is what it is. I just want to see how the tie it into the story!

You escape your execution, wearing your glass armor and blade! We are gonna be a prisoner, so anything of value was taken by guards long ago, right?

If i'm preordering really early i usually use amazon because of this:

"Pre-order Price Guarantee: order now and if the Amazon.co.uk price decreases between the time you place your order and the release date, you'll be charged the lowest price."

I assume all amazon sites have this function, not just the uk

I don't really care about a pre order bonus as I'll be pre ordering this game whether there is one or not, but I would quite like there to be a sort of special edition that is more expensive and comes with real life stuff, similar to the prestige edition of cod.

I really hate pre order bonuses, we should all get the same stuff...

We do in the end, as all pre order bonuses can usually be downloaded a month or so after release anyway, but you have to pay for them.

But they companies are rewarding those that give them their money early as they are guarenteed sales, thats the way business works.

I personally never pre order as have a relative that works in game, and he just brings the game home for me the night before the release date anyway, and I usually dont bother with the extra content until alot later anyway

Get the Dwemer Sniper Rifle only when you pre-order The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim at Gamestop. Power to the players! ;)

Bet I know where Kirov Class buys their copy.

OT- Yeah, whoever first thought up in-game bonuses for some and not others as a marketing ploy needs to be strapped to an airplane propeller crucifixion-style and then the engine started.

Only something physical. In game items wouldn't be very good and I hate when there is multiple different pre-order sets with in game items. I want a Dovahkiin full size helmet with the "EXTREME COLLECTORS EDITION". :hubbahubba:

Oh no they do a lot of these pre order shenanigans. Hunted, rage, and even Brink which I bought recently all have multiple pre order packs. So when this does happen remember this post. Also remember you don't have to actually pre order just buy the game in the first month it comes out. Bethesda pre orders are not really pre orders their just store exclusives. I didn't pre order FNV nor brink but I have the bonus items.

Im talking Beth RPGs. Not linear games they published.

If they do a pre-order bonus it will or at least should be something like what they did with New Vegas, just some health potions and maybe a weapon that is a little better than the earlier weapons you find.
I really doubt they would give anything drastic that really changes anything.

Still holding on my dream to have a life size viking helmet B)

Meh, I got excited when Halo 3 game with a MC helmet? Turns out it was just a glorified POS to hold the game and extra content. I'm glad I didn't have a 360, because I would have pre-ordered that for the helmet alone and been sorely let down. Viking helmets or their like are easy to get even on a video game budget, I want something in game, that is exclusive for a pre-order or collectors edition.

One of the best collector's editions I've ever purchased was a game I only played for 2 days. Warhammer Online had a really awesome c.Edition, with a hard cover book of art, graphic novel (hardcover), exclusive Orc Citadel Miniature the extra stuff totally makes up for the fact the game svcked and I didn't play past a few days.

Maybe you could get a special Dragon Shout that does something cool like turn the bad guys to stone or something else that you can't normaly get. Or maybe a cave or ruin that you just get for preordering.

Virtual bonuses, couldn't care less. I would never pay for it. If it's something like the Oblivions septim that was included in the collector's edition however, then I'll preorder without doubt. :D
