Post » Mon Jul 27, 2009 6:12 am

Dear Crytek,
i′ve found a website where you can preorder crysis 2 nano edition.
My question: Is this only a fake or can you really preorder the nano edition at http://www.webhallen.com ?

The only retailers I can guarantee are fine are those found on Crysis.ea.com (not saying there's anything wrong with Webhallen) :)

Webhallen is a Swedish company that is legit. I have bought games from there :P

(Prices are in Swedish crowns, i think it's like 1USD = 7SEK...)

Hey MadDeniels,

Nano Edition will be available in Switzerland but I don't have exact dates for it. I'd suggest you keep an eye on the Facebook page and check back on crysis.ea.com regularly.

I have what may seem like a rediculous question to EA... in the past a game for consoles have usually been between £15-20 more than those for the PC, including special editions.

This price-difference has been retained for Crysis 2 Limited Edition, but not the Nano Edition. Why not?

Take a look at what the Nano edition includes and the answer should be obvious :)

The Crysis 2 Nano Edition is designed for the ultimate Crysis fan, and will include the Limited Edition housed in a steel case plus an 11” / 28 cm statue of the game’s hero “Prophet” on top of a New York taxi cab, a high-quality art book, all packaged inside a backpack modeled after the Nanosuit itself.

Irrelevant. If a console special edition is exactly the same as a PC special edtion (which it is in this case), it should be treated the same way as any other game.

Even the Dead Space 2 PC Collectors Edition is £15 cheaper than its console-edition, which for the 360 and PS3 is priced at £69.99.

I'll see if i can find out why but being xmas holidays, could take a while :)

...given there's been no reply here or a change on retailers' sites, I figured I would check to see if Crytek has any update on the pricing issue?

Hey guys, I know this question has probably been asked millions of times (and I will sound like a noob), but I'm getting kinda paranoid if the nano edition will be sold in Australia since there's only like 2 months left.

If there could be any statement from the cry-dudes...? Heh...

(sorry hijacking your question Aranda >.>)

I know JB Hifi and EB Games are taking pre-orders. I'd shoot them both an email/phone call and ask them if they're going to be getting the Nano edition.

Cheers :)

I've asked them before (December) but they said they've only got records for the limited edition.
Are you guys not allowed to give official "yes or no"s?

I'll ask again asap, I would assume you get a copy of the nano edition yourself Cry-Adam? Or I dunno...

Each retailer will have different stock levels so we have no idea who will have what. That's why you need to contact your local retailer to see if they stock it. They may not have it yet or they may not be getting it at all, only they'll know :)

Console games cost more money because the company that develops the consoles (Sony & Microsoft), have a fee for every game being sold on their platform, so game developers decide to raise prices to compensate for the loss in revenue.

Ok, for the last time, MINE is the PC version!

Every other studio (and virtually every other branch of EA) always charge less for the PC edition than on consoles. I don't care if it costs more on the console; I'm a mod developer and work with the tools so, technically, anything that happens on 360 and PS3 won't even factor into it for me. I simply don't see why I should be charged the same price for a collector's edition on PC that is normally cheaper.

Well Gamestop has an online store and those are probably all reserved pre-orders.

The games really are just rising on the PC now due to inflation I think. ;)
