I haven't had the bow for a while now, I lost when I switched it with some sniper rifle. How do I get the bow back?

I plugged in the 360 controller and I am pressing down on the d pad and still no bow. What gives?

So I restarted the mission and the bow is back. Thankfully.

In theory you are not able to drop the bow to pick something else in the first place, it was justa glitch in the game.
