Pretty darned happy with this patch! :D

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:19 pm

I had not played in a while, and read all about the patch. I even decided not to update the first time I loaded the game out of pure fear (whiners complaining about why their system cant run skyrim etc.). But I eventually gambled a little and patched my game. the only thing I was experiencing out of the ordinary the first time was a couple minor texture problems, and lag once in a great great while when traveling on horse back.

After the game was patched, and I had put a couple hours into it.......................... Perfect.

I am grateful of course, but Im not experiencing one single issue whatsoever!!! the only ones that I was experiencing were fixed to a 'T'!!! Thank you Bethesda!!!!! you rock!!!!

I don't know if this was a problem for anyone else, but the patch fixed the beheading animations for me. The heads used to clip through the bodies to the ground with no physics.

Resistance is futile.

And I KNOW they broke the bookshelves trying to get rid of the Oghma Infinium exploit. Which is dirty pool in my book. Screw you for touching the beneficial glitches, you bastards.

The only issue I've noticed with 1.2 is the dragons flying backwards. That said, I haven't tested resistances yet. Other than that, 1.2 didn't do much for me.

Bethesda did a decent job fixing the vertical sensitivity, though.

I'm willing to cope with it for now, I'm glad the textures are fixed and windhelm looks so much better now, just dragons kind of piss me off they kill me in 1 or 2 breaths with no chance to heal, but I will deal with it till the next patch I suppose.

Sure you can, because whatever they tried to do didn't work enough to fix it; just enough to break the bookshelves. There was no other reason for them to touch the code for the bookshelves. None whatsoever.

the bookshelves aren't important, magic resistance and backward flying dragons are.

The fact that they went out of their way to [censored] up a beneficial exploit tells me they should just keep their filthy [censored] incompetent hands off of this game entirely.

I don't use book shelves or resists (apart from my 50% birth resist of course) so I am fairly happy with the patch. It seems more stable for me when running beta drivers.

No problems here. I'd suggest you reinstall windows, clean install of Skyrim and try again.

Hardware big factor - i7 running at 4.5GHz, 8gm+, 580 sli, 65" 3DTV, surround sound, xbox controller, mods and tweaks, run it in 3D - it's glorious trust me.
