Pretty excitied about BRINK!

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:56 am

I just feel this is the type of game i have been waiting for in a while. A game that actually forces team play! No leaderboards/KD Ratio......Brilliant!
I was going through a phase where game developers were starting to p*** me right off, due to some new release failed games that would not be mentioned.
After reading the Brink bible and watching video's, i really feel optimistic better yet! overly confident about this game.

But what alot of people have to understand is, don’t matter what game you play your gonna get "campers" and get annoying kids. Your just gonna have to come to terms that people don’t know how to play games the way certain games are meant to be played!.

Might sound stupid but i'd rather play with a couple of kids in this game than play with a bunch of hackers! Hackers are number one on my list! I don’t understand their purpose and never will. it ruins the online gaming experience completely!.

I'm from UK London and i was told were getting Brink on the 20th, US 17th........You lucky guys

Totaly agreed with u!!

Forces teamplay...yeah,that really should make us think about some thinks...thinking...well for sure it's nice knowing that SD really trying to balancing out for us,they know who we play (camping, airstrikes,no tactic/strategy whatsoever) and they decided to make an FPS that differs in every apsect.

As i said to other thread,it is an original/next gen FPS in my view.Combining everything in a team-sense way.

Which is probably the best part about the game...it's fresh, new, exciting, and a new way to look at shooters, although GRAW:FS and Battlefield 3 are on my list this year as well lol

I just have absolutely fallen in love with this game ^-^ Though I only have one thing I wonder about Brink....Will there be patches an add on packs to give more weapons/clothing?! That would make me sooo happy.

Oh also here is a :turtle: It is my goal to keep giving them till someone gives me one! D;

Like me. I play strategically and with teamwork. And I'm 15 :P. And I don't have the voice of a mouse so that's a plus

Nothing really new here then - I think were all in the same "Omg im in love with brink" position, Saw it Years ago - Before it was even a twinkle in anyones eyes, and completely unpolished - And even then....It still looked superior.

My only problem and worry is that "People" - Not pointing fingers! (All of YOU :P) May over hype this game.

Im not saying the game wont be a success No-one wants this game to succeed more than me, Its my perfect kind of genre - And i seriously hope it blows out all the COD / BF talks.

But realistically - We have to keep in mind that there may also be some "bad" that comes with so much good. Bugs/sploits - Hacks - People completely over powering certain classes abilities, there for having to wait on constant tweaks/nerfs etc.

Its happened before so much with games - especially over hyped ones.

So lets try keep it from going to stale. :)

On a side note - Remember guys, This year is going to be a VERY competitive year - With all these constant new FPS's coming out.....Look at FireFall for example.

I think this will happen no matter what cause most of us expect/hoped for an FPS different from the others,an FPS that would capture our feelings about how balance should be an more teamwork oriented and with a community that can think within limits of logic, able to discuss anything.

We all over hyped it i guess, and i'll spam it again: I really like that the game postponed 2 times...

It's up to us no matter what to keep our thoughts in the ground and constractive.

About the hackers?Well,a big issue no doubt,i could say a few things but...all this it gets too tiring.

(Sorry for my english if any mistakes.)

I'm a raging pessimist who doesn't get his hopes up for anything...

... except Brink. [censored], it's like the only reason I'm here alive is to see this game through. I really hope I haven't over-hyped the game in my mind...

People need to realize what Brink is and not what they fantasize it to be.

Here's a :turtle: Shaklor. Now give it back, it's my only one.

I think hackers kind miss the point of games. I mean, they sidestep the fun aspect entirely. As for "kids", well I've only recently joined the world of online gaming (two weeks now...don't ask) and I've got no issues at all.

The coolest thing ever will be seeing some of your names pop up when I finally get to play BRINK IN MAY!! (yes, it's cool to me as I've only been online for 2 weeks now...don't ask)
