I'm pretty sure Locational damage is confirmed.

Ah, Fallout 3, where one handgun bullet can rip a guy's head off.

Because it was in Fallout doesn't mean that it's in Skyrim... They have already confirmed that there is no dismemberment and gore, which is the purpose of having locational damage in Fallout, so why would they keep it in in this case. I'm not saying it isn't included, but it is a logical fallacy to assume that because theyve done it in one game they'll do it in another...

I turned dismemberment off. The locational damage in Fallout was not simply about gore. Headshots did more damage than shooting a limb. Same could be true for Skyrim, though I doubt it will be quite as specific as freakin VATS

In Oblivion you didn't do extra damage for hitting the head or body, it just did damage for hitting them. The magnetism will be a lot like Halo. If your pointer gets close then the game will help you stay with the target instead of you having to cringe and try to slightly move your cursor back in forth because you keep swinging past. Also, the demo makes damage difficult to estimate because Todd was level 35, so the enemies would obviously be very difficult, and his one-handed was below 40 if I remember correctly. If I slash a level 35's throat with a blade that I svck with, I'm not going to one hit kill him.

Locational damage has already been confirmed by Todd Howard, but it will "work differently" in Skyrim.

Right, but a slash across the neck is a kill, except in this game.

And the 90% of other games are an exception as well...

I don't think there's locational damage at all, at least for melee.
Even for bows I would think only headshots do more damage, and even that after you pick a perk (can't wait for the complaints if this is true :D)

If damage was realistic, you would just keep dying. There would be no sense to level up, since you can just be killed with one sword stab.
