I ran into the Repconn occurence but not the Primm one. Is this a post "new"patch play?
Yes. I downloaded the new patch this morning and started a new game and only two convicts were there. Fast traveling from Goodsprings to Primm does not make the others appear. I may have to travel a greater distance the make the others appear or maybe they were actually removed from the game, who knows. I'm also not sure if there are any less convicts inside the Bison Steve as well. Or the two convicts that are on the road to the Nevada Highway station. I'll make an edit if everything is normal head count wise in those area's.
Edit: One other thing I've noticed is that outside audio tracks will play inside some buildings. Such as entering buildings at night will still play cricket sounds, or wolves howling in the distance as if you were still outside. It's kind of annoying.
Edit 2: Well, I went into Bison Steve and all the convicts that should be there are, at least on the first level. However the cricket sounds on the outside audio track were driving me insane so I went to clear my cache on the dashboard. Upon starting up New Vegas again I don't even get the option of an update. I guess they took the patch down in preparation for the new one?
Edit 3: I actually deleted the patch properly (had to go delete it manually in my memory in my New Vegas folder) and I can confirm that the remaining convicts outside return, that the outside audio track of crickets and howling wolves is also removed upon entering a building.
Hopefully with the new patch coming these issues are also resolved. I can handle the missing convicts but the constant sound of crickets really drives me up the wall.
Edit 4: I can also confirm that the two convicts on the road to the Nevada highway station are also there. Still hear the sound of crickets and other outside ambiance in every building I've entered so far. The only way to stop it is to reload in the building I'm in but as soon as I go outside and enter another building the outside audio track continues. So if this still remains an issue after the new patch, looks like I'm exploring only in the day time.
