I doubt anything would become canon, since we never return to old locations, but if I had to place money, I would place it on Meyers.

Probably Meyers,

Spoiler
seeing as he survives every end-game scenario except a Legion victory....and in that case he convinces the townspeople to join him in a Alamo like Last Stand against the Legion. He's clearly who the people of Primm want for a Sheriff.

Meyers for sure , he's fair .And a real lawman ,not like some robot like Slimm or the NCR , who's only intrested in more land.

Primm Slim for sure. Easy to get to become sheriff and he is fun to listen to on the radio those occasionally times. But I hate this quest because you can not make the deputy the sheriff and there is no happy ending to it...

Primm Slim, probably because it can be the quickest option and I like more robot on the radio :D

If there was an option to continue your expansion of the powder gangers by helping them take Primm along with Goodsprings that might of been interesting.

I always install Slim, just 'cause it's the least bother. Which isn't the question you asked, but I don't think any of it will become canon anyway.

I voted Meyers, but it also brings up a very important point. Which one of New Vegas's many endings will be considered canon? My money's on Mr. House, but I can also see the NCR one. What would be nice is a sort of character import, but that's very unlikely.

Canon: Meyers.

My usual answer on 2nd+ playthrough: Slimm ;)

Just cuz it's easier.

It really would be too much work, as you'd in the example of NV ending have to write 4 different versions of your main storyline that would further have to be tweeked but each little change you did or didn't do.

If you look at games that did allow save or character import (ME for example) Very little of what happened in the previous game is really mentioned, and very little if anything changes. I'm also pulling for a house ending as canon.

@Night hawk
Definitions of "canon"

# a rule or especially body of rules or principles generally established as valid and fundamental in a field or art or philosophy; "the neoclassical canon"; "canons of polite society"
# a priest who is a member of a cathedral chapter
# canyon: a ravine formed by a river in an area with little rainfall
# a contrapuntal piece of music in which a melody in one part is imitated exactly in other parts
# a complete list of saints that have been recognized by the Roman Catholic Church
# a collection of books accepted as holy scripture especially the books of the Bible recognized by any Christian church as genuine and inspired

Look at the one I Bolded and underlined. Do you understand now?

So far i picked Primm slim, Myers, and the NCR. I think all of them are good. But NCR gives more of a secure feeling. Meyers is nice and old school so hes also good. Primm slim i dont think is as trustworthy and would get killed easy.

I don't think much of the main quest will be mentioned in future Fallout games, possibly the war between NCR and Legion will be mentioned but not the result.

It really depends on where the game takes place. If it in the same area you'll definitely have a canon ending picked. and it having a big effect on whats going on now.

Canon, the history of the gameworld, like Shady Sands in Fallout 1 becoming the NCR in Fallout 2, the canon ending of Shady Sands in Fallout is to become the NCR, even though you could destroy them in Fallout, the canon ending was chosen out of all the endings to be canon for future games.

I think he was just being a wise guy because he spelled it cannon and not canon.
