I rather approve of the above estimates (which has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact it gives me the most troops). All things considered, the Daggerfall estimate comes out rather what I expected.

Size-wise, Northpoint isn't that much smaller than Daggerfall or Wayrest. Smaller, sure, but not to the degree of its personal army being doubled by those of Wayrest and Daggerfall. Just my thoughts.

Wayrest has the largest army for any one state of High Rock, which correlates to with it being the most populated region in High Rock at the moment. However, the other states under vassalage to Wayrest are largely in the Wrothgarian Mountains. This means less land to be farmed, therefore a smaller population.

So all in all it works out pretty well. Vincent and I spent a good hour speculating those numbers to get them just right.

Everything up there correlates directly with each state's geographic location, current events, and their estimated population.

Naturally the West is going to have a much larger combined population than the East. This is due to the fact that they have much more land on the Illiac Bay (which translates into sea trade and a better economy, which in turn translates into more people) and the land is much more usable than in the East. It's easier to cut down forest for lumber and then use the land to farm than it is to terrace farm mountainsides.

I think during the baby stages of the RP Vincent and I had decided that Wayrest had become the main port on the Illiac or something of the sort. Of course things like population can always be changed without harming things. When I get home tonight we can all figure it all out.

Circa Daggerfall, yes, but post Warp Wayrest is in ascendency. I think it might even be in a Oblivion rumour that it is established as the new major player and most populous city in High Rock. Can someone else confirm this?

The Fraternal Order of the Knights of the Mines is a secret order of knights and cult of Reymon Ebonarm. They answer to a council that is elected by majority vote once every five years and is believed to be blessed by The Black Knight. The order is kept secret on pain of death. That being said, rumors exist, but actual members will deny its existence, no matter what. They are called the Knights of the Mines because the ten founders of the order were drawn to each other during a large battle in the 2nd Era that took place in a mine. What drew them together was a vision of The Black Knight and it is believed that he blessed the ten with immortality for the next ten years and a place at his side when those ten years were up, only if they vowed to do his bidding and to fight their hardest. The amount of knights in the present day is not known, but is estimated to be around twenty, and they inhabit all of Tamriel. Their true names are never spoken in ceremony and each one is recognized by a small jewel of his mineral with the Ebonarm etched on it.

The Order of the Knights of the Old Gate is an order consisted of the best and most loyal knights of the Duchy. They are headed by and answer only to the Duke. These knights wear a full suit of Steel Plate armor with the crest of the Duchy emblazoned upon their shields, and a white cape with the picture of a large black gate. There are currently only thirty of these knights, ten of which symbolically man the Old Gate. Only if the Granite Keep is under imminent threat do they leave their post.
