Of Princes and Power- OOC Thread 4

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 5:06 pm

@Vincent, I'll await your approval for this character before i start making any posts with him. I'm open to critisism as i wouldnt want to make your kingdom look bad after all

Your CS is accepted. Vincent isn't a GM, however, I probably should make him one just to be nice and add to his work load.

At least, in the coming social-political-military confrontation, it'll be easy to pick sides. While some may choose to go for making their realms pretty, fantastical or noble; I, on the other hand, decided to squeeze out as much decadence and unsympatheticness as I could out of this bastard

Coming next post: jokes about eating babies and a codex entry on the Daggerfallian favourite sport of orphan hunting. Also a petition to rename the RP 'Of Naked Princes and Chevalier Power (because I like how that word sounds so you have to live with it constantly being mentioned)'.

Petition noted, and I second the motion.

On another note I think I might chain you and Vincent to a desk with pen and paper and force you to write fluff for food...

EDIT: Oh and I'll have a post for the Dragonsguard up tonight PFA, so that Camaron and Henry might get a bit of interaction. Possibly build on the relationship on King and Bodyguard? If you're going to be on Skype tonight I had a few ideas for Daggerfall I wanted to run past you.

I know your the GM, and that i'm accepted, but i'd appreciate Vincents too as i'm apart of his kingdom. I'm not too confident on my abilities to play a mage you see, so looking to have the loose ends tied up so-to-speak before i start RP'ing the character properly ;)

Completely forgot about that aspect of it. I was a little tired last night. :P

I'm thinking I might make a new character to fit into this whole Thaumaturgical Society thing we have going on in the Wayrest Alliance. That is something to think about, thematically. Evermore is in a time of change, with all these new Wayrestrian and foreign ideas washing over it. That in mind, don't forget that Evermore like most Bretic states has an entire mage class, so there are many levels of bickering and feuds to be expected, loyalties divided all over the place. Your mage sounds like a bit of an outsider to most of the magic community so I guess that isn't much of an issue. But things like this would be the meat and bread of a court-mage's day to day dealings I guess.

I'm sure you will do fine. :) If you want to talk about anything just send me a PM.

It's no big deal guys. I understand how life can screw you over. :P

It's hit me pretty hard this week. I have two calculus unit exams I have to study for, I have to do an entire chapter, and assessment, for psychology, and I also have to study for a unit exam in English. The best part is it's all due tomorrow. :twirl:

So it's unlikely that I'll be posting tonight.

Looks like I may not be able to get a post in tonight after all. Expect a short break I'm afraid, just a few days.

I'd like to add my voice to the "I'm sorry I'm slow at Rping please forgive me" chorus. Had a bit of writers block mixed with a visit from a friend, kind of robbed me of my time to RP/inclination to. As a result I'm gonna write up the epic post I was planning for my next one later (make it the start of the Festival) and just do something small and slightly disappointing for PFA (again). After this little thing in the courtyard, we can have a day or two gap, and go to the start of the festival, if that is alright for everyone else?

Meh, fuqq. Please make sure to PM me if Barnan the ex-pirate is needed (basically if Erasmos gets back). Because otherwise you might have to wait for me a month before I open the thread and read an update on the Barnan situation.

Just making an apology for framing what should be a vital story-progressing post 75 years in the past. Generally speaking, the idea of my Rping is to draw as many "D'AWWWW"s as possible from my fellow Rpers. We will see.

And to anyone wondering, yes. That is Camaron's granddad.

Sounds good with me man. Lets just give ample time for the other RP'ers to get their characters into the city before we start it up.

haha, well if it were up to Aleron it would be a festival of peace, tough. :P knightly tournaments, eating, drinking, feasting, [censored], ... but there'll always be those that have to make it complecated. :(

As anyone can see, Camaron is upholding an old tradition. It's really his father - who I imagine for some reason to have been more like Bridwell, except more flamboyant and stylish in his militant bearing (those two run in Thagor blood, you can't survive as the monarchs of the most pimpin' court in High Rock otherwise) - who was the odd one out. Maybe one day he'll be seen in a flashback all of his own.

Asapp, if you still wanna talk with me on Skype, I'll be on for the next couple of hours. Or tomorrow, if that's more convenient to you.

Quentillius exists as well. He is active. I'll be around where he lives again over easter, so I can punch him in the arm if he's not posting.

Happy Easter and for those with holidays, enjoy them!

*clears throat* May I throw in a... bit of a wild card of a character?

Name: Relas Indaryn
Title: Sellsword of Blacklight
Age: 47
Race: Dunmer
Gender: Male

Appearance: Dark skin, even by Dark Elf standards. Blood red eyes, scar going down left cheek. Slim built, tall, long brown hair that reaches his shoulders, knotted chin beard, many blue tattoo's of Redoran origin across face. Both ears are pierced by multiple rings in Dunmeri fashion.

Skills: Relas is an expert liar, cheat, and manipulator. Handy with the sword and dirk, not a bad shot with the bow either. He is also naturaly stealthy, and has a very strong past with the thieves guild, as such, he is also adept at picking locks and pockets.

Equipment (Weapons, armor, misc.): In terms of wespons, Relas always carries his longsword and his dirk handy, and commonly dual wields them. He also carries a short bow, with a sheath full of arrows for hunting and ranged situations. He wears his sword across his back and his dirk on his left hip, with his bow usualy next to his sword. He wears a sleeveeless netch leather vest, with a red shirt under it. One leather pauldron sits on his left shoulder, his right is bare. He has a pair of netch leather gloves and boots, and black pants. Has a hood and cloak for bad weather. He is also usualy seen with bottles of mead dangling from his belt.

Background: Born in the Redoran tradition, Relas gre up in Blacklight, near the Skyrim border. Orphaned at an early age, he took to a life of crime to survive, and developed a knack for Roguish talents. At one point or another, he took up with the Morrowind thieves guild, and became a powerful and influential member, but fell from grace for reasones he'll take to the grave. Exiled, he then turned to a life of piracy and, eventualy, became a sword for hire in Cyrodiil. Hearing about the political trumoil in High Rock, he rode northwest. and chartered a ship for Daggerfall.

As a character, his morality is neutral, and often questionable. He frequents alcohol and [censored]s, has been known to abuse skooma, and is very greedy and manipulative, his ultimate goal in life being to find the next purse of gold.
