Of Princes and Power- OOC Thread 4

*clears throat* May I throw in a... bit of a wild card of a character?

Name: Relas Indaryn
Title: Sellsword of Blacklight
Age: 47
Race: Dunmer
Gender: Male

Appearance: Dark skin, even by Dark Elf standards. Blood red eyes, scar going down left cheek. Slim built, tall, long brown hair that reaches his shoulders, knotted chin beard, many blue tattoo's of Redoran origin across face. Both ears are pierced by multiple rings in Dunmeri fashion.

Skills: Relas is an expert liar, cheat, and manipulator. Handy with the sword and dirk, not a bad shot with the bow either. He is also naturaly stealthy, and has a very strong past with the thieves guild, as such, he is also adept at picking locks and pockets.

Equipment (Weapons, armor, misc.): In terms of wespons, Relas always carries his longsword and his dirk handy, and commonly dual wields them. He also carries a short bow, with a sheath full of arrows for hunting and ranged situations. He wears his sword across his back and his dirk on his left hip, with his bow usualy next to his sword. He wears a sleeveeless netch leather vest, with a red shirt under it. One leather pauldron sits on his left shoulder, his right is bare. He has a pair of netch leather gloves and boots, and black pants. Has a hood and cloak for bad weather. He is also usualy seen with bottles of mead dangling from his belt.

Background: Born in the Redoran tradition, Relas gre up in Blacklight, near the Skyrim border. Orphaned at an early age, he took to a life of crime to survive, and developed a knack for Roguish talents. At one point or another, he took up with the Morrowind thieves guild, and became a powerful and influential member, but fell from grace for reasones he'll take to the grave. Exiled, he then turned to a life of piracy and, eventualy, became a sword for hire in Cyrodiil. Hearing about the political trumoil in High Rock, he rode northwest. and chartered a ship for Daggerfall.

As a character, his morality is neutral, and often questionable. He frequents alcohol and [censored]s, has been known to abuse skooma, and is very greedy and manipulative, his ultimate goal in life being to find the next purse of gold.

I like it. :)

CS is accepted, you can post whenever you'd like.

As of right now everyone who is anyone is gathering for the Festival of Peace in Evermore. It'd probably be a good idea to have your character start out there somewhere. While probably not privy to entering the citadel where all the nobles and high-rollers will be, he'd be able to skulk around the festivities in the town outside the citadel. Maybe show the view of the festival from another perspective?

It's all up to you though. I'm fine with whatever you want to do really, so long as it's within the rules and generally acceptable limits, which are pretty lax to say the least. I'm not really one for putting restrictions on things. :P

Anyways welcome to OPaP!

Oh and to everyone, I'll be going on vacation until Sunday with limited internet access. While I'm gone, even though he doesn't know it yet ( :P ), Vincent will be acting as Co-GM and will handle any character sheets or other problems that arise.

Sounds good! I was going to have the Camlornian party ride by theirs while they were stopped so that Elissa could get that first look at Astien to set up that whole thing we discussed wayyyyy back in the beginning of the RP. However I'll wait to do it some other time because I'm really interested in reading your next post. :)

I updated the CS with Julius's new sheet. I'm waiting on Frank to pop his head back in here before I add him in. Just to make sure he's sticking with us.

EDIT: PFA, how exactly did you want this whole situation with the folks from Northpoint to play out?

Fun as it would be for the chevaliers to get into a fight, for now Bridwell is reining them in and has no intention to allow the situation to explode into anything ugly, and Camaron seems to approve of that. It depends on how the Northpointers will respond, but Daggerfall isn't starting a battle right now.

Alright. I knew he didn't want a fight, I just didn't know if you wanted Henry to be more aggressive and harsh than Bridwell. Didn't know if you wanted him threatening to behead anyone who disturbed the King's peace or making all the chevaliers and Northpointers hug and make up over a gift of flowers and tea. :P

Anyways, Athell, PFA, I'll have a post up Wednesday. Possibly later tonight. This week is going to be pretty busy. I have a district competition for track tomorrow and I've been stressing over that. Fourteen different schools from last year that I have to compete against to keep my district champ title. It's rather nerve racking.

Magus, just pointing this out, but Julius is kind of flaunting authority he doesn't have. The knights are knights of Northpoint, not Alsace, which means that only Elissa or King Daric can strip them of their titles. Also, Julius referring to Northpoint as "his kingdom" isn't going to go over well with Elissa. Finally, be prepared for Elissa to make a point of Julius only being one of her father's (and, by extension, her) bannermen.

On that note, I can't post today, since I'll be travelling to Seattle today, but I'll see what I can do to post during the rest of the week.

I'll have a post tonight. Got caught up with track yesterday.

I was the only one on the team to qualify for the Regional Championships. Lost my District Title by one height (6 inches), but managed to get 1st Runner Up. Then placed 6th with 3 other guys in the 4x800m and 4x400m relays.

But I will have a post for Astien as well as Henry up tonight. Expect him to threaten to behead a few people for disturbing the king's peace :P

For having to run the 4x800m, open 400m, 4x400m, and pole vault I think I did pretty well.

We only have 12 people on our team and we got stuck in a district with a TON of private schools that recruit their teams (since they're allowed to do that and we aren't because we're public.). So it was like taking a High School team and pitting them against 13 Junior College teams.

In our old district we used to dominate everyone. I have more first place medals than I can count, but they stuck is in the hardest 1A district in the state this year. I'm still ranked at 4th in the Region as of right now though. Which for Pole Vault is the hardest region in the state. We have 3 guys who clear 14'0" and last year we had two guys hitting 15'0".

You're going to love them. I'm on the last few chapters of "Clash of Kings" and can't stop reading. :P

Also, just as a little heads up, I had forgotten to mention it in the OP but we use a Copper-Silver-Gold currency system with a 100-10-1 ratio (respectively).

Yeah it's the same system.

I've been used to using something similar in the timeline for so long that I forgot to mention it in the OP. I was under the impression that everyone knew that we used a copper-silver-gold system, but I had forgotten that I'm not in the timeline anymore. :P
