Did some more talking with PFA and to fit the characters better we decided that instead of having Kelmena marry Camaron when he was 15 like it says in lore, that they were wed when he was 40 and she was 18 (currently 22). Also, Astien is now once again the firstborn of Senhyn.

Sorry for all the confusion guys.

Hey Asap, Orsinium will be allied with Wayrest as in lore. Sounds good?

Yeah, but they're a separate entity all together.

Is it just me, or has the geography of High Rock been drastically altered for this RP? I've never seen Eastern High Rock look anything like that before, and Evermore has drifted off the Hammerfell border halfway to the Sea of Ghosts. If anyone is interested I could make a prettier political map, keeping all of the same states in the same places but having them fit a bit closer with lore. Or is there reasoning behind this fresh Warp in the West?

Well most of Easter High Rock was invaded by the Nords (That's the striped area) And during the secession a lot of boundaries between kingdoms where changed as the states warred against one another and claimed/lost land. Many of the states have also been disbanded and conquered entirely.

http://www.imperial-library.info/sites/default/files/gallery_files/cyrodiillargelowrescr7.jpg is the Geographic map I'm using to figure out the locations of cites. A few of which I've created entirely. Which is why Evermore isnt on the border.

That map differs quite a lot from the political one though, geographically. Western High Rock has grown much wider. The, um, un-named bay that has Northpoint and Farren on it has shrunk massively, Farren has been pushed eastward and Evermore north (the new "Barony of Bordaine" has appeared roughly where Evermore is normally found). It's like the land occupied by the Nordic Federation has actually pushed High Rock's landmass outward :P. I wouldn't bring it up but Its difficult to know what map to go by.

We could just wing pretty accurately. If need be, a GM could provide the diameter of the bay or mountain chains.

When will the RP thread be up? How many more people are we looking for?

Sorry I don't want to be a [NUMINT], just trying to figure out the geo-political positioning of Evemore . There is a tantalizingly small amount written on it, and I'd like to give the Lesser Kingdom a really strong sense of identity. For example, stuff like Evermore's relation to the Bjoulsae River, or what side of the mountain range it sits on could be vital. Some maps like to place Evermore actually in the Reach, which would be very significant culturally, others have it hugging Hammerfell, or set alone in a mountain range. I can't really find another map that has High Rock shaped like it is in the Political Map, so I'm at a bit of a loss.

If this is definitely the shape things need to be politically, would it be alright if I use this template to draw a matching geographical (and trade, etc) map of oPaP High Rock? Could be useful for working out how a campaign might pan out, and really I'm just asking for an excuse to draw a map. Love maps!

I'm sorry. I was on vacation this weekend so i didn't have time to write up my cs's. I'll do both the knight and court-wizard and get working on them tomorrow. :) Now I got to study for tests and sleep.

I used a different map for the political one than I did the geographic one. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j76/Titus-lord/Immortal%20Blood%20Timeline/PoliticalMapDetailed-1.png is the map I used for the Political one and simply colored in the new states and kingdoms. I did notice that there was a difference when I was making it, however the political map is just for the sake of knowing in what region each state is in and to give a rough idea of where the boundaries are.

The geographic map is the official map for roads and placing of towns and cities. The capitals of many of the newer states where randomly put down and can be adjusted when placed on the geographic map.

Well congratulations, now it's your job to add in the location of the new keeps for the new states as well as add new roads to the new political map once I finish with it. It will look much nicer than the old one. I'm using GIMP instead of MS Paint. :P

Yeah. You didn't know that? :P

Haha I just found those names to fit in nicely so I used them.

Okie dokie, so the new political map will use the landmass shape and official town placings of the geographical map? Awesome, that's all I wanted to know . Evermore is a large city in snowy mountains with the Black Wastes to the west and whatever Dunkarn Haven is to the west. Considering its placement, it is more likely to be on a river that finds is mouth in the bay of..doesn't have a name, and probably doesn't have access to the Bjoulsae River. Lots to think about

I just noticed that all King/Queen players also need a second character. I guess he should be somewhere in the Wayrest Alliance as well, I'm thinking a goodly Prince. What's the deal with Princes and Princesses, anyway? Some cultures would call the daughter of a Count a Princess, others only the daughter of a King or Queen. Sorry if I'm being a nuisance!

Re: "High Rock = France", while the Bretons do have englishy and frenchy sounding names, they aren't normally wholesale copied from real place names. Having a Duchy actually named after somewhere as famous as Versailles is stretching it a bit, imo.

After revising the map I changed a lot of the names I had come up with for the states to the name of a town within it's borders. It fits rather well now, There are only a few states that don't have towns already there. All you have to do is make towns and draw roads.

And it's up to the Lord to decide what to call them. The Heirs that is.

Gauvadon is a good-sized settlement in Wayrest territory as well.

New maps are up. I'll put the finishing touches on it tomorrow as far cities and towns go, but the borders of the states are up and everything is proportional. :P

Gauvadon is pretty major I think, before the Warp in the West it was a big player in that part of High Rock. I've read far too many things about the history of the Bretons today...

EDIT, FIXED:

In other news, here is a sketch of the lovely Queen of Evermore, complete with her Royal Tiara: http://i43.tinypic.com/wk0gi0.png

No problem, I'm totally digging the new map. Especially because Evermore has gotten a major upgrade out of it, and has gone from having no coastal provinces to having 3. We were land-locked before! http://i43.tinypic.com/wk0gi0.png is pleased by this turn of events.

Any idea when this RP is going to start? How many more players do you think we are looking for?

Well I need at least a monarch for Northpoint. Jehanna and Farrun can be left to their own since they wont really be getting involved with the other three unless Elysana decides to try and conquer them.

It'd be nice to have 4 or 5 more people. But 3 will suffice as long as they have multiple characters.

Speaking of that it would also be nice if a few of you could take the roles of a few lords if no one claims them. Not all of them, just enough to give holding court more life. I'll probably make another two characters down the road after I find out what positions need to be filled. I want to leave them open as long as I can in case someone else comes along and wants them.

I hope we can start by Wednesday or Thursday. It all depends on if anyone else joins. I sent out a few PM's to some of my friends from the IBT in hopes they would join.
