A prisoner... again?

I think you might be observing someone else be executed who looks like you, so that you can escape and go into hiding as the last dragonborn.

Maybe one of the factions in the civil war is being secretly backed by Alduin and wants to kill all the dragonborns.

Oblivion it was public urination, I figured my chances for being sold into slavery was alot less if I was a public offender. It's true, I was no serial killer or super badass, I was just a madman. And when I made my way to the shivering isles I felt right at home. Ahhhh feels good man.

Alduin wants to eat the world, i doubt he cares enough to back anyone, he just wants everyone dead.

Starting out as a Prisoner is good. It gives more roleplaying power unlike Fallout 3 where you were born in a Vault.

Yeah New Vegas did that alot better, hell there are alot of refrences to places in the wasteland far away and the courier (you) goes "yep... Been there" and if you are a lady killer (perk) you impregnate someone in Montana.

I hope there is an equivalent to the Lady Killer perk in this game, perks themselves are already confirmed after all so it'd make sense to have one. I can't really make my ideal character without it :P

A beggar said the Dragon's been here but it's gone, boy, it's gone.

So the question is, how did your character wound up as a prisoner?

I didn't know it was his daughter.

(My dunmer Nerevar came back from Akavir with powerful magics upon finding morrowind gone he stopped at solstheim to console his broken people then went to skyrim to deal with dragons and learn more magics before he
RAZES BLACKMARSH TO THE GROUND using all he has learned he isn't racist but he mourns for the loss of his home and yearns for vengence on all responsible for the suffering of his people.

sorry just found out what events led up to this game I am not pleased......at all )
From describe your first character post:

Needless to say after leaving a trail of hundreds of dead argonians and not denying it to the skyrim authorities He was put in jail knowing he would be that much closer to destroying the dragons and then focusing on Blackmarsh.

I wasn't kidding when I said I was mad maybe the year wait will change my mood but Dunmer Hold Grudges as long as well as long as need be...

If Argonians have respectable racial benefits this time (I often can't stop myself from min-maxing), my first character will be a narcissistic Argonian marksman-mage seeking the love and loyalty of his rightful surfs who overstayed his welcome in a guard barrack trying to win over the followers of his arch-nemesis ___. Vengeance will be had for such an insult.

Hmm, I'm thinking some horrible revenge crime against argonians might be a good reason for my Dunmer as well, seeing as we feel the same way about the scaly buggers.

My weaselly looking Nord, Junther Assuange, is a political prisoner and was arrested for making classified Imperial Scrolls available to the general public. The secretive and embarassing information he leaked to the people of Skyrim sparked a civil war.

Lol'd.

I supported anti slavery and the freeing of argonians but what they did to my people is unforgivable the price for their crimes shall be their lifes blood.

this is a video whose words reflect my feelings for morrowind (ps not mine just good)

Well, y Dunmer never really had an issue with slavery, but he feels like the Argonians and Khajit should be gratefull for the Dunmer giving them their freedom, something he feels violate their ancient customs (And it does). Regardless, he's not a pro-slavery activist, he doesn't care. He does however see it as ungratefull and extremely insulting for the Argonians to invade his country, nothing would please him more than to see Black Marsh invaded by the Dunmer, but there's too few left seemingly for that to happen anytime soon, which pisses him off even more.

Framed for murder by a very secretive cult called the Wardens of the Sword who delusionally believe that if the Ansei and their students are left to prosper like they were in Yokuda they will sink Tamriel as well.

They are a group that is sworn to ward any foreign influences against the human cultures of Tamriel, and to keep non-human races' power in check.

My character was not only framed for being an Ansei and a Redguard but because of the danger he might pose by the influence of his origins.

My character is Divad Hunding descendant of Frandar Hunding, the greatest known Ansei.

Ironically his great-great-grandfather was framed for murder by the Wardens of the Sword a few weeks before the begining of the Oblivion Crisis.

Edit: A secret kept even deeper than the existence of the Maruhkati Selectives, the Wardens of the Sword were founded by Maruhk and a handful of his most radical followers including Borgas the Nord King of Winterhold. Since then many leaders of the more traditional Holds of Skyrim have become members of the Wardens. The Wardens have lost much influence in the provinces of Cyrodiil and High Rock failing to ward the influence of the non-human races. This made them realise that they needed much power to uphold the last human cultural stronghold, Skyrim, and to acquire such power they murdered the king to replace him by one of their own, leaving evidence at your residence to mark you as the murderer. But even the best laid plans go awry, some of their contacts in the less traditional holds were disgraced and removed from court. Their influence lessened the Wardens have left the country torn in two on the choice of who would become the next king.

Those who know their lore will see the posibility of such a group being created by Maruhk and King Borgas, and why they would be a very racist sect.

Either that origin or arrested for public urination at the last banquet held by the king before his murder.

Bethesda must have a thing for prisons... Maybe there's a meaning behind starting in prisons? We are never truly free, but imprisoned by our enviroment and society?

My backgrounds are usually dark, but I like to think we get a blank slate to start all over. Whether they continue down the path of darkness that brought them to imprisonment or turn towards the righteous light is up to them.
