I have looked and looked and cant find the source info on the execution and or being saved etc as the start for the game... if anyone knows where this comes from i would appreciate it.

This was in one of the earliest Game Informer releases during the big "GI is all Skyrim, all month" thing.

I doubt this would be the information they would reveal first. This is one of the things I could care less about.

The execution info came from one of the international magazines, not Game Informer.

i have been through all the GI stuff i could find and havent seen it nor did i see it on the confirmed features

It's in the 1 hour long special edition podcast on the GI site that's been out for months. Todd himself says that you start as a prisoner and about to be executed.

You're also saved by Esbern, the last of the Blades, which has been confirmed for months as well.

The info about the execution came from someone on this forum translating a power unlimited magazine. It didn't specifically say anythng about Esbern and the OP was constantly correcting their translations as were other posters in the thread. As this is the only magazine I know of to state this and we are relaying on some pretty basic translation of it, I'm pretty sure it was a mistranslation. It seemed to me to be too big a piece of info to have just given to on mag. But since then people have taken it as fact, which it turn leads to others assuming it must be because so many talk about it as if it is. I personally don't think this is confirmed yet.

I actually posted this in another thread too, just would be good to know if this really is confirmed or not, no one seems to be able to show an disputable quote for this info.

I mean it might be like this at the start of the game but it won’t be exactly like this if you get my meaning. I am sure Beth will come up with some twist or something exciting which they have not told us yet, otherwise everyone would know the start of the game and it would be boring.

I know what you mean, man. I've been looking for where I heard and couldn't find it. I remember them being secretive about what exactly happens as to not spoil the start, but from what I remember, you're a prisoner who's about to be executed when you're either pardoned or saved by Esbern.
