hehe, no, it just helps users identify what your topic is about if you have a suitable thread title. As your thread is about "no connection detected" that's what you should put :)

As for the answer to your question, i'll see if i can find some info.

You are too lazy too use the search function, right? There are numerous threads about connectivity problems and possible solutions. Other than opening another thread, you could have found the solution by now.

Ok, we'll run through the quick program here.

UPnP activated? DMZ? What's the connection speed ( Up & Down )? Has he reset his router? Can you try with a wired connection to the router to ensure the problem doesn't come from running wireless?

Have him check http://www.speedtest.net and http://www.pingtest.net and post results.

Getting online on PSN doesn't require much bandwith or port forwarding whatsoever.

There could be numerous problems, and from distance, i can only help if i get provided more details.

Oh, ok no problem.

UPnP and DMZ are features you can activate on your router. You have to browse to the IP Webserver via a browser on a PC ( usually a router has a standard IP Adress, look in the manual if you don't have it )

1. Restart router
2. Connect the router to the PS3 via cable and see if the problem still exists
