Problem - Fire displacement black edges

First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong subforum, I'm new here C:

And as second, I'm bad at explaining so here's some pics :D

(Replace the blank spaces with dots ".", I don't know how to post pictures and we're not allowed to post actual url's. Excuse me if the thing that I'm doing is not allowed)

As you can see the fires in my game have this black edge, I believe that this is caused by the displacement that the fire creates for a heat effect.

I run the game on the highest settings including the AA on max but that doesn't seem to fix this problem.

It's only visible when looking at brighter backgrounds, obviously because the edge is black and thin.

But it really bugs me due the fact that I love to use fire spells and "candlelight" to brighten things up.

I use a ton of graphics improvement mods but even with these turned off this is still visible, I also use bathesda's HD DLC but without this it's also visible. All the drivers that I have are the latest. I also tried using FXAA instead of the usual MSAA but this doesn't fix anything aswell.

So, do my fellow Skyrim lovers have any ideas for fixing this?

Much appreciated.

Hi Alex, welcome to the forums!

This is a known issue to do with AA - try switching off AA in your graphics card control panel and forcing Skyrim's own AA from the launcher - or if you've already done this, try forcing your graphics card AA in the control panel and switch off Skyrim AA. Basically, mess around with the settings in both until you get the issue to go away.

The reason you can't post links yet is that you're new to the forums, and it's an anti-spam measure. Make a couple more posts and you'll be allowed to post links.
