Problem loading oblivion *sigh*

As the title inducates I'm having troublem loading oblivion after installing mods. I recently reinstalled oblivion and decided to install FCOM plus optionals, I sorted through the mods using BOSS and then merged all the mods and associated (except one marked as unmergable) into a bash patch. I can get to the main menu in the game and hit "new game" but when it finished loading it CTD's. I cannot work out why and wondered if any of you lovely people might have some insight :) I have included my load order below:

You are missing some of the Francesco's esp's:
Francesco's Optional Chance of Stronger Bosses
Francesco's Optional Chance of Stronger Enemies
Francesco's Optional Chance of More Enemies
FCOM_Francesco'sNamedBosses <--- This one is in the FCOM download.
You should use the second link in my signature to see if I have given you any bad information, and to get the 1.09 version of Oblivion War Cry, and the matching esp FCOM_WarCry.esp (version 0.9.9mb5}
You need the FCOM_BobsArmory.esp <--- This one is in the FCOM download
You do not want to use the MMM Gems & Gemdust plugin with FCOM, and you should switch the MMM Diverse Runeskulls Loot to the OOO version as well.
Use one Gaurd Unity Plugin <--- I read this in a post by CorePC, and removed one from my Load Order.
Use the MMM-Cobl version 1.73, It is found in the third topic of the MMM release thread, and you might think about updating your Cobl to version 1.73, the links are in the FCOM release thread for the optional updates.
You want to make sure you are using the 3.01 version of Harvest Flora, and you want to use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25078 by TheNiceOne to fix some issues with Living Economy <--- Living Economy is bundled with OOO.
EDIT be careful when building your Bashed Patch, do not check the Mayu's Animation Skeleton Tweaker in the Tweak Actors section of the Bashed Patch-doing this will cause a CTD.

Thanks for your help. I followed all your advice (except the 0.9.9 for warcry, the download appears broken) and followed the advice on the FCOM thread for creating the bash patch but it still does not work. However I'm not sure its a mod anymore, I started oblivion with no mods and no OBSE and it still CTD as soon as it had loaded when starting a new game. Interestingly windows event viewer does not show a crash event, its as if the game is just shutting itself down as soon as it loads. I'm at a loss here and and insight would be greatly appreciated.

Delete and regenrate ini, followed by reinstalling DarkDarnUI if you are using it?

You'll hate this advice, but....

I suggest that you completely uninstall and delete your Oblivion folder.
Troubleshooting and repairing a faulty installation of the mod will probably take more time trying to fix than seemingly going the long haul.

Thanks for all the help everyone, after a clean install of oblivion it seems to work now (I can create a new game at least, we'll see if it crashes after the sewers)

One thing I'm looking for now is a better face mod since the default faces look very low res and abit ridiculous, can anyone reccomend a good one (I did a quick search of the forum but didn't find anything)

It adds new races and cosmetics plus revamps npc's through TNR.

I have tried every face texture enhancer on "texnexus" and "planetelderscrolls".
In my opinion, you can make a pretty good looking character without texture replacing, but...

If you just want increased resolution with a less "blotchy" look, I recommend http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=oblivionmods.detail&id=1507 by Shady Tradesman. If you want custom face textures, Enayla's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14805 takes the cake, IMO. (Some people prefer the older "http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9534" variant.)

Other popular texture replacement projects include:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1965 by MaboroshiDaikon (Cleaned up, slightly modified faces.)
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7343 (I personally do not recommend this one, it makes all the lips look awful. No offense to the creator or anyone who enjoys this mod. Although, it does includes some enhanced meshes that can be used in combination with IFT.)

The preferred order of installation:

Lastly, there are plenty of beauty mods out, but they are not all compatible (sadly). "Race Balancing Project" and "COBL Races" do an excellent job at combining beautification projects, but make sure to only choose one. If you do not desire either of these, browse the endless supply of beauty projects on your favorite modding website. I find that the "Race Balancing Project" combines quite nicely with "Tamriel NPCs Revamped"

A random crash is a tough one...The original (Vanilla) game will crash on occasion. I still have a random crash. I can play my FCOM install for 8 hours but once in a great while I crash. If it is not constant/repeatable then I will say ...live with it...lol

Only thing I haven't done to my 2 year old install is ...PyFFI my mods..

Only thing I haven't done to my 2 year old install is ...PyFFI my mods..

It seems to not occur too often and I have oblivion crash preventer now so hopefully I won't get so many :) One problem I'm now having though is after I installed the "really AEVWD" mod im getting like 20 fps while looking over the landscape outside, is this normal bearing in mind my PC is a ATI 5870 GPU and i7 CPU and oblivion is at max settings in 1920x1200? (I also have streamline, oblivion crash preventer and oblivion stutter remover installed)

For random crashes (are you sure it's random? you can't recreate it?), I recommend using a PCB mod (like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9139), and http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23208. It has done wonders for me (I had A LOT of random crashes).

Streamline incudes Streampurge for the PCB. You can activate StreamSmooth and adjust the FPS settings to work with the FPS settings of OSR, but you will lose some part of the scenery to get the performance boost, but you get to choose what is lost and how much it is reduced. My biggest issue is with RAM usage on higher level characters - I only have 4Gb of RAM and my game will take almost 3 Gb to run a level thirty plus saved game after an hour or two, and I avoid higher resolution textures. I try and keep my Load Order under 200 active mods and avoid script heavy mods. My game is your Load Order and Integration, Unique Landscapes, and OCR, with a few armor and weapon mods. If I have to, UL is easy to remove and does not cause any major issues for my "hard" saved games. I intentionally make my "hard" saves in a player owned home.
