Problem with an animation

Post » Mon Nov 28, 2011 12:30 pm

Hi all, I'm having a problem with an animation I downloaded some time back (It was fourm a thread here which is long deleted I believe)

I'm working on a mod that involves dead NPCs (A crypt area is part of it) and so I want to use this animation on some NPCs to make them in a different pose in death.

However it won't play in the CS, even though it seems fine in the NIFskope. Can someone please take a look at them and find out what's wrong?

Here are the files, there are two versions apparently, both won't work:

Animations don't play in the CS, you have to go in-game to look at them.

I remember that they did play though.

I've tested in-game; The animation isn't playing, just the regular death one.

Well to the point i know the problem is with the .kf file (I myself have worked with Animations a lot for Combat Redefined) the person who has created the animations hasnt exported the .kf file correctly(coz when i try to preview the kf file with Morrowind Animkit the xyz controller not supported error occurs) which means he has exported the file in a different layer.

Also the .nif file has a problem it does not contain the animation data as u can see that x in the first word of filename it contains only the model data the nif containing animation doesnt has x attached before its filename.

So solution is try getting main nif part of it.
Hope it helps.

I found the original source of the animation I was using. It was 'anim_lying_down_02' from this pack:

I remember that it had been edited to work on corpses. Could someone please PM me and try and help me out with this? It's urgent, or I can't continue working on the mod :(
